Expensive valet so walked across street for parking which worked out fine. Wood definitely recommend and stay again"

"Our room was nonsmoking but the smell of cigarette smoke hit you in the face as soon as you opened the door. Carpet needs to be replaced asap and the noise from the stree was terrible until about 2 a.m. Breakfast was good with a variety of foods to choose from. Very clean in serving area. Also, the coffee was excellent. Towels were laundered nicely and bed linens were of good quality."

"OH MY GOODNESS! EXCELLENT! EXCELLENT! SPECTACULAR! The yard and home are beautiful. I received a very warm welcome from Chemise. She served delicious breakfasts in the dining room every morning and was always available if I needed anything. Outside there are garden areas with chairs and tables. It was wonderful to sit and relax while hearing their water fountains. Amethyst Garden Inn is in a great neighborhood. Easy to walk to restaurants, shops and tourist spots. "Loved the aesthetic and cleanliness of the place. It really was loud but anywhere near Broughton is going to be that way. The noise was was not a particular problem for us. Parking was down the street which was fine once we realized where and how to use the discount and app. Calling customer to find out about parking was a frustrating experience at night when we got into town…the connection was terrible but we got it resolved quickly. "

The only comment I have was regarding the walls being pretty thin, you can hear doors slamming from across the hall and the bathroom sink makes a very loud noise when you run the water. We loved this location as we easily walked to all of our sites and restaurants for our three day stay. Bull Street bisects the square and is the main walkway north to south. Staff very friendly and accommodating, nice included Continental breakfast, and large rooms. We will definitely book here again!"
