We had another wonderful stay at Tradewinds. Fantastic location, incredible view, spacious, well appointed, well maintained home. Just perfect. You’ll never tire of sitting out on the veranda, soaking in the view and sea breeze. Amanda is so friendly and an excellent communicator. 5 star rental. Thank you so much for hosting us again… until next time!
I was in Batway with family for a family bereavement. Whilst the occasion was sad the location of our stay was quite replenishing and rejuvenating. Whilst the house could do with a little attention, sticky doors for one, the grounds were very well kept and the view from the veranda made up for any negative. What a view, seriously, a view you will never tire of and don't want to leave, one that ask you to stay and revive your love of nature and the ocean. Coming home after a trip out, the first this we did was to open that sticky door to the veranda, breathe and drink in the view and rest. I miss it already. Very enjoyable stay. Our host was very helpful and accommodating which was much appreciated.
This was our third stay at Tradewinds and we don’t ever want to stay anywhere else. Perfect location steps to Bathway Beach, clean and well maintained, incredible view, comfortable beds and pillows, well stocked kitchen, toilet paper and towels, hot water and when we thought it couldn’t get better… now air conditioning and brand new windows! All the amenities with charm! We feel so at home. Amanda and all are so kind, friendly, helpful and communicative. Thank you for having us again at Tradewinds… until next time!

Beautiful property. Close to beach which was amazing.
Our stay at Tradewinds was absolutely perfect. The home and property are beautiful. Perfect location and incredible sea view with constant breeze. Loved the covered patio, spaciousness and privacy. It was very clean, the furnishings were lovely, beds comfortable and we had everything we needed. There is hot water in the shower, multiple fans, window screens and plenty of security bars and locks (though in a very lovely and safe area). Was wonderful to have a washing machine and large covered area for hanging. Bathway Beach is a short walk, bar and food available there. We had no issues with water, no issues at all. Communication was excellent throughout. Highly recommended. Thank you so much Amanda, we will definitely be back!
This house has one of the most beautiful views I have ever seen anywhere in the Caribbean. Loved sitting on the terrace gazing at it and enjoying the wonderful breezes and hummingbird sightings. We also were able to connect with several very genial locals and expats such as Maggie at the nearby beach bar who organized weekly walks while we were there. The bed in the master bedroom was so comfortable it made us consider getting a new one when we got home. Stephen, the local property manager, was very helpful and got this coffee addict a coffee maker when requested. A highlight of our stay was a wonderful meal of local food at the Melting Pot cafeteria in Grenville, and they have an excellent bakery too. Not easy to find but worth the effort. If you want to experience the real Grenada rather than the tourist Grenada, this is the place. All in all we enjoyed our stay.
Things to know: there is no hot water in the house except through a kind of attachment on the shower head. I heated water in the electric kettle to wash dishes. There is no glass in the windows, just good screens and metal louvers. We still felt completely secure, however after a rainy spell we had a problem with mosquitos. The water went out three times during our stay due to municipal water issues. We appreciated a plumber being sent to check things out but nothing could be done until the municipal issue was fixed. In the meantime we boiled water to drink.
There are not many restaurants in the area so we ended up cooking and eating at the house more than we really would have liked.
Know also that it is a rugged 2 hour drive from St George’s where the airport is to get to the house. Due to people and animals on the road and sharp drop offs I would not recommend doing it at night or without a good nav system under any circumstances!!
