"First of all, we had a wonderful time at the house, and that is ultimately what matters most. We really enjoyed our stay and appreciated the character and charm of the property.That said, I do think the house needs some attention and repairs. The outdoor hangout area, in particular, is in desperate need of maintenance. The cushions were extremely dirty and faded, and there was a significant amount of debris from the surrounding trees. A simple cleaning and blowing of the area before our arrival would have made a noticeable difference.Inside, we understand that the home is older and has a lot of character, but several of the lights were not working. It also appeared that there may be an underlying electrical issue that should be investigated.Most concerning, and something I feel is important to mention for the safety of future guests, is that both of my children received an electrical shock when they touched the metal front gate. This was extremely concerning and should be addressed immediately by a qualified electrician. I would strongly recommend having the gate and surrounding electrical system inspected before guests stay at the property.Again, we genuinely had a wonderful time and would like to emphasize that the issues above did not prevent us from enjoying our stay. However, addressing the maintenance, cleanliness, and especially the electrical concerns would significantly improve the property and provide a safer and more comfortable experience for future guests."

"Absolutely Amazing Stay! We had 18 family and friends coming from several states to celebrate my 45th birthday, and this home was PERFECT! Spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, and the owners truly thought of everything. Pool towels, laundry supplies, shampoo/conditioner/body wash in every bathroom, and plenty of toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, garbage bags, etc. As someone who travels with a large family, I can tell you most rentals provide the bare minimum. These owners go above and beyond!The pool was the perfect size for our group, with plenty of seating so everyone could swim, float, relax, talk, laugh, and enjoy the backyard together. The provided pool floats were a great touch! The guest house was fantastic, and every bedroom and bathroom was beautifully designed while still showcasing the home's charm.The open kitchen was perfect for group breakfasts, with plenty of seating between the dining area, kitchen table, and oversized island. The extra fridge in the guest house was great for drinks!The location was fantastic—close to a beautiful walkable lake trail, Starbucks (LOL!), the River Walk, Missions baseball, and only about 15 minutes from the airport.The owners were incredibly responsive, answering questions within minutes and handling anything needed the same day.Guests ranged from 5–60, and EVERYONE loved it! I got credit for finding the place, but the credit belongs to the owners! They set a whole new standard for vacation rentals."

"We had a good stay overall, but there were a few minor maintenance issues that need attention. The downstairs A/C wasn't working properly; I want to commend the host for being incredibly responsive—they immediately sent a maintenance technician out to look into the A/C issue. Unfortunately, by the time the problem was diagnosed, it was late in the day and we were checking out the following morning, so it couldn't be resolved during our stay. Maybe next time have a small portable AC unit. Oh yeah, and there was a strong, unpleasant egg-like odor coming from the drain in the downstairs shower, which we didn't fully realize until right before we left. We thought it was just someone who had pooped. But when you shower, the smell gets noticeably stronger. Both of these issues are completely fixable (the shower drain just needs a good clearing out), and given how attentive the host was, I am confident they will have it sorted out quickly for the next guests. Given the opportunity, we would stay again if issues are resolved. Thank you for having us!"
