How in this great country of ours and with the ever advances in social media/internet speed, etc,; did someone at hotels.com or even Ramada NOT know this place was closed? Based on the reviews (which I didn’t read before booking, yep my fault), kinda glad it was. Kudos to hotels.com for quickly solving. But also shame on them for letting someone book in the first place.
I reviewed this already with my other room, the hotel almost appeared closed, the lobby was "under construction" as was the entire hotel yet no signs of construction. No HVAC in the lobby or in the room, no working ice machine, garbage in the hallways, 3rd floor all doors were unlocked with trash in the hall. Was the worst experience I have ever had with any hotel. Filth on the walls and backboard of bed. Appears people live in the hotel like an apartment complex.

Renovation review
The hotel is under renovation, so it's understandable some things weren't so nice. Although, it wasn't comfortable showing up at the front door and seeing three U-Haul trucks and a lot of things out front, this may have been done using a back or side door. The friendliness of the clerk checking me in was good. Also, all the employees seemed polite in spite of being tired. In case you are wondering I would not paint the hall red like some of the paint samples that were in the hall. I didn't try to use it at night, but in the morning, I couldn't get Wi-Fi. Ramada never came up as a possible internet connection. I called the front desk and was told Ramada was what I was supposed to use, but it wasn't an option. Don't know if the renovation had something to do with this or not.
This hotel did not look open. The entrance was confusing. The desk clerk was indifferent. Two rooms were placed a floor apart. The room on floor 3 was on a floor abandoned with trash and doors unlocked. There appears to be people who rent weekly or long term. The hotel a/c was not working in lobby nor the room on the 3rd floor, after being moved to another, the same issue no a/c. Beds had spots on the sheets, the room on the 2nd floor had bile and or feces on the wall. The doors on the third floor all had marks like a forced entrance was once tried. The clerk said the hotel was undergoing a renovation yet there was no sign of that. The luggage cart had a flat tire, there was no pool (not open), no breakfast, no coffee makers in the room. We felt our safety was compromised so we checked out within 20 minutes.
I was very disappointed at the rundown condition of this motel. Drywall was hanging down in the bathroom with a lot of dirt in corners and baseboard. The front doors were broken on the entrance. The . clerk was very friendly but that did not help the fact that trash cans were full in the front and weeds were huge
This was the most discusting hotel I've ever stayed in. The carpet was filthy enough we were afraid to take our shoes off.
The hallways were very run-down and need updating and cleaned.
No coffee pot or cups in the room.
The hair dryer was broken

Disliked: Staff & service, amenities
Steps in parking lot. No handicap entance. Makes it hard to get with luggage Lone
The keys didn’t work so the man propped our door open for us to let ourselves in at midnight the last room down the longest hall so I had to check behind furniture And shower curtain for someone hiding to attack us. Then we go to take a shower only to find the wash clothes were used and dirty from the last guest still hanging on the shower rod. Go to get into bed and there was a spider crawling in our sheets. Lastly, start to fall asleep but our air conditioner would only run for a few minutes and auto shutoff. So I slept in a hot room with no air circulation. Oh, and the pool was closed for maintenance and they didn’t serve the breakfast advertised. It was grab and go continental.
This Ramada is privately owned and is under renovation. The hallway and room carpets are dirty and stained. There is no continental breakfast. Just a "grab and carry" bag of cinnamon role and granola bars. Piles of trash stacked up against the back door. There is an exercise room on the first floor. Night clerk was unable to suggest a place to eat. Difficult to find because of the secondary road access. Not a good value for the money.
The room was not clean. There was a dirty washcloth left in the bathroom from someone before me. The walls were deteriorating and refuse on the floor and had not been vacuumed. The carpet was stained. No glasses or cups in the room/bathroom. All in all, it was a bad experience and I will not stay at another Ramada Inn.
This place is dirty. My main complaint from my 2 day stay was finding brown stains on the towels and an unknown stain on the bedspread.
But visible water damage, burnt out lightbulbs, stained curtains, and random paint patches all contributed to my disappointment with this hotel

Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service
At check in no one at front desk waited 30 minutes to check in. Shower was not clean
The worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Everything is so old and beat up. But there is a difference between the old and the dirty. Let me start with the carpet: stained and not vacuumed. Next, onto the bathroom: the mirror completely smeared, dust in the corners on the floor. The bathtub was filthy; looks like it has not seen a sponge and a cleaning solution for months. I decided to throw the towel into the bathtub so I can stand on it and take a shower. Towels were disgusting, like someone washed the floors using them. But the sheets were the worst! They looked gray and had multiple stains. I had to go downstairs and bring the guy from the reception desk with me to show him everything. We only had about 5 hours to sleep, otherwise we would have left and looked for something else. We had to inspect two other rooms before we found something doable to lay down for sleep. After all that, I had nightmares and kept waking up; I was scared that there might be bed bugs. Worst expensive ever!
Reserved online for five people, but the room only slept four - and no rollout bed or other accommodations were offered. The room was pretty worn out - as is the hotel - with carpet stains and a general rundown feel. No breakfast currently being offered.

Likes: pillows, once room warmed up it was nice, and it was quiet. Dislikes: phone out of order couldn’t reach desk while driving (6 hrs) and phones still not working next morning. Upon arrival 1:00 am outside temp 6 degree, room heater was turned off so room & bedding was freezing which was horrible when all we wanted was sleep. Building was dirty, run down and smelled of weed.
