The coziness and comfort of the house was perfect.. great location, easy to get into the house. The flow of the house and cleanliness was perfect. Andrew was a great host. Super quick to responding to my questions and was very helpful. I loved that it was dog friendly, i loved that i had the unit that had the fenced in yard in the back too. I will definitely use this property again.
Very attentive owner which is the best. The location of this unit was better than I thought based on my research before we came. Really enjoyed our first time to St Louis and the little retreat was the cherry on top!

Regarding the lower unit, there were definitely some bright spots. The owner was quick to respond, the place was clean, parking was a breeze, and it’s just a short walk to a great old-school donut shop—which is never a bad thing. The only thing to note on the location side is that the front of the unit sits pretty close to a busy street, so it might be a bit noisy for some.
On the flip side, the living room furniture has definitely hit its retirement years. The couch and chair have that “sink down and disappear” feeling, but not in the relaxing, cinematic way—more in the “I should probably stand up now” way. We couldn’t sit on them comfortably for long. The small glass-top dining table and chairs are also unexpectedly tall; I’m 6'2", and even I felt like I needed a step stool. The bathroom was clean but has a bit of a time-capsule vibe. And the backyard fence needs some attention—there’s a gap near the gate big enough that we didn’t feel comfortable letting our dog roam off-leash.
Overall, it’s a place with some charm and potential, but a few upgrades would go a long way.
We enjoyed our stay in this very clean house. The owner responded quickly to our request for a travel baby bed. We appreciated being able to bring our large dog. The location made it easy to get around the city.
It was the trip from hell, but Andy saved us!The place is beautiful, old world architecture from the original floors and up. Modern decor, beautiful all new stainless appliances in well equipped kitchen. Very clean and a beautiful neighborhood. My one dog got loose and got almost killed numerous times. But the whole neighborhood came or to catch him and he thought it was a game. Tornado came through killing 5. Wife fell in backyard. Andy came over for a lift assist when FD was backed up. Caring host, constantly making improvements. He’s improving the fence, and the only suggestion I could make is a grill in the backyard in this beautiful home.Never got a chance to try out the great food places, but will do next visit to The Hill to see family. My four Scotties loved the yard! And the boy with the most seniority loved the dog bed!
The location was wonderful and the host was great. Easy to get in contact with and Johnny on the spot for any needs. Would definitely recommend this place to friends and family
We had a nice stay at Southwest Garden. We had a little difficulty getting into the property, but Andrew was quick to help us out. Then we were able to come and go as we pleased. Parking was very easy on the street. The apartment was very clean. While the bathroom was updated and clean, some of the walls were a bit discolored. This might just be from the age of the apartment. Overall, great stay and great location.
Property is as described and shown in photos. Location worked well for us. Parking was never a problem on the street and we came and went at all different times.
