*NEIGHBORHOOD DETAILS The Tower Grove East neighborhood is conveniently located near 2 highways and a number of popular city attractions, parks, and neighborhoods. The retreat is only 1 block away from one of the best (and highest Yelp rated) BBQ joints in the city - The Shaved Duck. Also very close by in walking distance is another handful of popular local bars, restaurants, convenient stores, and Tower Grove Park.
Tower Grove Park This wooded Victorian strolling park rewards meandering. Its 340 kinds of trees could chart every shade of green, and they attract 200 kinds of birds, from red-shafted flickers and monk parakeets to ospreys and ring-billed gulls. Henry Shaw developed the park to give St. Louis “a grand pleasure ground,” with wide lanes for horse-drawn carriages, gates guarded by zinc griffins, and exotic pavilions and gazebos. Every few feet, there’s something to see: lions copied from the tomb of Pope Clement XIII, heroic sculptures (Shakespeare’s here), busts (including Mozart), and antiquities (columns from the Old Courthouse and stone “ruins” from the old Lindell Hotel, reflected in one of the most picturesque ponds in St. Louis). Park officials also recently uncovered a long-forgotten stream on the park's east side, accenting it with rain gardens and native plants on either side.
Tower Grove Park - key events - Tower Grove Pride Fest - Festival of Nations - Food Truck Friday’s - Tuesday & Saturday Farmer’s Market - Outdoor Yoga on Saturday’s - Monday eve Concerts In The Park
Missouri Botanical Gardens - Whitaker Music Festival: every Wednesday night with live music (May through July) .............

Would totally stay there again. I attended a party at a restaurant nearby in the new year eve and did not wanted to drive back home after drinking, once I live about 35 minutes away. It was a great stay, the place is organized & clean. Very beautiful and well taken care.
My wife and I had a superb two night stay here. Zero complaints. Easy parking, great location, and check in/out was a breeze. House is well kept and has all the amenities one could ask for. Shaved Duck is literally a block away and has a quaint bar and some of the best BBQ in STL.
Charming Cottage Abounds with 1904 World's Fair Flair
We were quite comfortable during our stay, with all the comforts and conveniences of home at our disposal. The neighborhood was quiet and we felt quite safe in our comings and goings to local attractions. The many items of 1904 World's Fair memorabilia added greatly to the enjoyment of our visit!
This place was so unique!!! It was perfect for just the two of us but could also work for some others to stay as well. Just to look around at all the “details” that were put into this place was so cool! It was a very easy place to find and was in the perfect area for all the things we wanted to do! Would definitely recommend this place!!
Beautiful rental conveniently located to the botanical garden, the Arch, and the stadium. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Communication with the host was prompt and helpful.
This little house was just perfect for our night out for my birthday. It’s close to every place we wanted to visit. It’s clean, cute and cozy. Great neighborhood, easy parking on the street in front. Thanks for a great stay.
The neighborhood and decor were great! This probably wouldn't be the best choice for kids because there are many delicate decor items, but it's such beautiful space! There was some
It was the perfect place to stay for 2 people. Parking was easy outside the building on the street. We were able to walk to breakfast one morning. Outside of the city enough to be quiet but within good driving distance of everything.
Nice quiet area. Close to everything. Murphy bed was comfortable as was the queen bed in the bedroom. Cardinal game, Clydesdales, beer and Nate Bargatze at the beautiful Fox theater. Enjoyed our downtime at the 1904 Worlds Fair retreat!
Our flight was delayed so we arrived very late to the property but the neighborhood seemed safe at that late hour. The house was well appointed and we got a good night's sleep since it was nice & quiet.
Tony was very responsive to a question we had and we'd love to return when we have more time to explore. Thank you!
Everything about this property is absolutely lovely. It was my second time staying this year, and it was just as great as the first. The Christmas decorations were an adorable added touch this go around! The neighborhood it’s located in is quiet and it is very easy to get to wherever else you want to go in the city from it. Thank you for sharing with us, it was the perfect weekend away! We absolutely loved it.
We were in town for a procedure at BJC. Unfortunately, we spent most of our time there. We did walk down the street from the house when we first arrived to the shaved duck. Very good smoked meat. The house was cute and cozy and served its purpose. I wouldn’t hesitate to book again.
My husband and I loved the little house. It was perfect for a weekend getaway with just the two of us. The house was very clean (other than baseboards in bathroom, but I cleaned them). The owner was easy to talk to. The location is near Antique Row, which is a lot of fun. I highly recommend.
