Ommaroo is right on the sea front about 10 minutes walk into the St Helier but the excellent bus service stops close by, Staff are very friendly and breakfast was lovely, Room was good and would definitely go there again

Enjoyed our few days stay very much. The staff were extremely friendly at Ommeroo Hotel and also very helpful with questions asked about places to visit. The room was very comfortable and very clean. I would very highly recommend

Loved the location of the hotel right on the beach front. Close to a number of eating options and walking distance to the town square. The staff were exceptionally attentive and helpful with us as we had a dog and needed to make a few adjustments to where we ate. Good internet connection and a lovely view of the sea even from our budget room. Highly recommend this lovely hotel.

It is situated just outside St Helier which is a 15 minute stroll or a 5 minute bus ride on a very regular bus service. Staff in the hotel were extremely helpful. Continental breakfast turned out to be a hot/cold buffet breakfast which was delicious. Hotel facilities were really good. We had our Sunday evening meal in the restaurant (roast beef and Yorkshire pudding with trimmings) which was gorgeous; the gravy was so meaty and tasty. Rooms were serviced each day and housekeeping staff were very accommodating. Our experience was very positive and I look forward to returning.

My family and I had two family rooms - one was bigger than the other, but both good rooms. The rooms were immaculately clean and the bathrooms were nice. We really liked the convenience of the bus stops outside, and the location on the beach with the lovely lido too - fantastic spot. And the staff we met were truly lovely, friendly people (the blonde woman who worked at breakfast and at the bar was fab!). Breakfast was excellent with plenty of hot and cold options. My family also got good use of the small heated pool. Beds were comfy too. The one thing that upset me was on our last full day. We went out in the morning and came back to our rooms around 3pm. The door to my room was kept ajar slightly by a cleaning cloth wedging it open - I assume that a cleaner meant to come back to finish the room. However, they didn't, and basically left my room unlocked and open for god knows how long. Nothing was taken, but it really was upsetting and worrying - a careless thing for a cleaner to do. The front desk staff could only say sorry and said they would tell the head of housekeeping. It dented the impression of what was otherwise a perfect stay, and I have to believe it was a one-off situation.

We were very happy with this choice of hotel, the staff were friendly and helpful, it was clean, there was a good breakfast selection and whilst there was a good choice of food on the menu the bistro menu had about 8 main choices and kids 5-6 choices, the main dining area had 3 starter, main & dessert choices but only ate there once as the choices weren't always our liking. The pool was small and water chilly, although it suggested a heated pool. It was opposite a nice clean and lifeguarded beach / natural lido. Overall a great holiday and would choose to stay there again.

Good hotel with excellent staff. We had dinner one night, and food was lovely. Only problem we had was no hot water on our first morning, unable to have a hot shower, which was far from ideal. Was fixed during the day.

Lovely, clean hotel, friendly, helpful staff. Great breakfast, with lots of choice, limited evening menu but was nice. Beds very comfy. Stayed at the back of the hotel so didn’t hear any noise from traffic at night. Overall, very impressed and would definitely recommend.

Lovely hotel, good appearance inside and out, with friendly and helpful staff and great breakfast. Opposite beach and excellent transport links. Didn’t make use of pool but saw kids enjoying it, and seemed to be well-maintained. Would have liked water/ fridge in room, particularly as very hot weather. Dinner menu not expansive, only chef’s special changed in whole week. Some bathrooms need updating.

We had an overall good experience. The dining staff are superior. The front staff is usually available and always accomodating. The hotel appears to have been recently renovated, and we had a ground floor room facing the back. All of this was fine, however, there is not air conditioning and not a good way to ventilate the room. The hotel is well located for beach access with a few restaurant and shop options.

Amazing Hotel
Wonderful hotel. Beautiful sea view from the hotel. The beach is just across the road. Clean and neat room. Spacious room. Good breakfast with varieties. Good dinner but have to book as it gets busy. Very friendly and very helpful staff. Staff Joanna was great with tourist advices and booked me various tours. Town centre and Liberation Square within 10 to 15 mins walk or can a bus. The bus stop is just outside the hotel. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel. I will definitely will go back when I visit Jersey next.

I worked there as a porter when I was young in 1974. It was very old fashioned then ,a bit like Fawlty Towers on a larger scale. Now it’s relaxed ,comfortable and welcoming . The new generation are friendly but professional. I would love to visit again.

Break by the Beach
A travelling hockey team with 9 rooms booked some twin rooms and some single occupancy rooms. Slight confusion at first but all sorted without any disruption to ourselves & most of all with a smile laughter. The rooms were fairly basic but very clean and maintained to a very good condition. The breakfast was good quality produce, clean and well presented. The location for our team was perfect. An early swim in the lido & a coffee on the beach with only a short stroll into town for the entertainment. Every member of staff was polite , happy & helpful to all of our requirements….saying that , so were all of us..respectful , grateful for the service. Thank you to all at Ommaroo Hotel
