Amazing!!
We stayed in the family cabin and it was absolutely adorable. It’s a mix of contemporary and rustic charm. It was very well stocked with everything you need. The fireplace was amazing. The owners are so helpful and sweet as well. Whatever you need they were there without being in your face. It was super peaceful when we were there. The work that has been put into the place is incredible. We can’t wait to come back and bring the whole family.

Very peaceful and relaxing
Spent a long weekend there, arriving on Friday and departing on Monday. There was live music on Friday night at "the Barn", which was about a 10-minute walk from the cabin. During the days, entertainment for children abound with swimming, small boats, and playgrounds. There are several nice walking trails. The quaint little town of St. Croix is about a 10-minute ride away, and has lots of small shops. Lions Park directly on the Mississippi River, is about a 5-minute drive away.

Love this property!
This cabin offered just the right mix of solitude and sense of community. We loved sitting on the front porch watching the wildlife and also taking advantage of activities offered on the property. So relaxing!!

Girls trip
Beautiful property. Sitting on porch looking at lake was our favorite. Furniture was dated and not as comfortable. Better pillows would be nice. The kitchen and bathroom were renovated and were very nice.

Nice little Cabin
The property is beautiful and just like the pictures. The cabin is also exactly like the pictures. The queen bed was a bit firmer than we would have liked, but otherwise there is nothing not to like. It was a great experience that we are very likely to do again!

Winter Wonderland
My husband and I stayed in the cabin over President's Day weekend. We were looking for a cozy cabin in the snow to relax and refresh. This property was everything we were looking for and more! The cabin is exactly as described. It was cozy and set in the woods overlooking a frozen lake. We had a fire in the fireplace nearly the entire time we were there. Becky was phenomenal at answering our questions immediately. What we did not realize was that the entire property was lit up like a winter wonderland each evening. And, to top that off, the property held a "Snowy Days and Moonlit Nights" event on Saturday night. The barn across the lake was lit up and there were activities for kids, music, great food and a moonlit hike. I do not have enough words to express our satisfaction with our weekend. We are already planning our trip back next February for three nights instead of two. If you want to get away for a peaceful weekend, this is just the place!!!

Beautiful location, quiet and peaceful
I frequent this area and have tried many VRBOs. This one was located on a beautiful setting with deer running across the frozen lake nightly. I didn't arrive to the cabin until after midnight and the owners had lights on for me and a great video on the website on how to drive to it. The place was quiet and a great place for work; but would be fantastic for a family getaway!

Big Rock Creek Cabin
We really enjoyed this cozy cabin. It was secluded but conveniently located for what we were trying to accomplish, which was a quick getaway from the cities to do some skiing and enjoy some family time. We saw several deer and enjoyed the cool location. I didn't realize it was the same place when I booked it, but we had been to this location earlier in the winter to see their amazing Christmas light display. They even had some of them on for us to enjoy during our stay!

Quiet, peaceful, relaxing
On the site of an old trout hatchery, the cabin overlooks a large dammed-off pond with kayaks and a paddle boat available for use. A pair of Osprey's frequented the area. Comfortable accommodations. There are several short trails on the grounds and a variety of longer trails within a few minutes driving distance surrounding the St. Croix River, St. Croix Falls, and other locations to the north and south as well as canoe and kayak rentals to take advantage of floating down the St. Croix River. We would love to stay longer in the future.

What a peaceful and beautiful property. If you like the outdoors and want a quiet place to relax, look no further. We loved it, the kids loved it. This was our second time staying at this cabin and I'm sure we'll be back again in the future!

Serene family cabin
This is a lovely and unique property. The cabin is rustic but has everything you need. The porch overlooking the pond is heavenly. Family members stayed at the Clubhouse and altogether, it was an amazing setting for a family reunion. The grounds are gorgeous and the swimming pond and paddlewheel paddleboat are great. The perfect Wisconsin summer setting. The only downside is no pets. The caretakers were good communicators and very friendly.

Great winter retreat

Pleasant service, beautiful scenery, great exploring
This property is a WOW! The location is great and the Fall colors were fabulous as we traveled through the miles of trails on their ATV. The land is hilly and beautiful. The lake the cabin is on is a beautiful view from the cabin. Lots to explore. The cabin is perfect and had everything we needed. It’s a log cabin and very cozy with a big fireplace and lots of wood inside the cabin for the fire. We had a grand fire! We hiked at Interstate State Park and ate at local restaurants. We didn’t cook in the cabin but the kitchen is large with updated appliances and has plenty of space for cooking. The customer service by all staff was excellent especially Troy! He was helpful and accommodating and gave us the background of the property. I will stay there again!!!

Peaceful Getaway in North Woods
My wife and I visited for our 30th wedding anniversary. We wanted a secluded place in peaceful surroundings where we could get away with little effort on our part. This property delivers. Very serene, very comfortable. Our favorite feature is the fire pit.

Family Vacation
This cabin and location are lovely! The cabin is right next to the water with a swimming area a short walk away. We all enjoyed the floating dock area with our 3 boys (4, 6, & 8) wearing lifejackets. (I'm unsure how deep it was, but neither myself or my husband could touch the bottom. Also, the water was very cold - making the lifejackets {which they provide} helpful). We also enjoyed the hiking trails - just be sure you know the way before you begin. The staff that are quite close and often available are very nice and friendly. We definitely enjoyed our time and would likely come again.

Outdoor adventures!
Our family of five (two parents and three kids ranging from ages 4-14) enjoyed this property so much! The hospitality was great, the cabin was cozy, and scenery beautiful! We rented the side by side ranger for three days as we loved exploring the trails throughout the property. The property managers were helpful answering any questions or helping with anything we needed. We really enjoyed learning the history of the estate from Brad—thank you so much! This place ranked high in our places visited and we really hope to visit again!!

Beautiful place
The cabin is so cozy and nice - and the view from the deck is amazing. I spent most of my time just sitting out there enjoying it. We walked miles of the quiet, secluded woods around the property and loved every minute. The staff were so friendly and helpful we lacked for nothing. Thanks very much!

Relaxing family vacation
We had so much fun riding around property on rented atvs. Communication was excellent with property owners. The tour with Brad is highly recommended it gave us good reference of trails and history of the property. They even have high speed internet which was great since my husband had to take some work calls.

We really enjoyed our short stay at the cabin. The property is incredibly beautiful. The cabin was simple but comfortable. The kitchen and bathroom had been remodeled and were quite nice. Please note that the instructions for the WiFi password are wrong in the VRBO information you receive and on the written instructions in the cabin. The correct password is on the router under the TV.

Awesome Experience!
We were blown away by this property and how over the top friendly everyone was! My kids were in heaven when they got to feed the cows, learn their names, and their history. Exploring the trails was fun as well...but we should have rented one of the rangers to be able to see it all! Even though there were 3 other units being rented while we were there, you wouldn't have known it. Very peaceful, gorgeous place for a family vacation and close to everything in town! We'll be back :-). Thank you!

Nice cabin on a nature preserve
The cabin itself was very nice, lots of hot water and efficient AC. The wifi was a challenge, it usually worked for a while after rebooting the router. The property was a great place to hike, wooded with lots of creeks. We saw at least 8 deer, including 2 very small fawns, and a black bear. The lake is very small and not appropriate for children < 10, there's no swimming beach. My grandchildren are 10 and 13 and were able to swim to the swimming raft and use the kayaks and paddle boat, so they were happy. We also caught a few trout, which was fun.

Hi Valerie, So sorry for the struggle on the internet. Its tough out here in Gods country:) We actually have fiber being installed in July!!! Super excited about that. The lake is 9 acres and is definitely appropriate for kids under 10. No there isnt a sand beach but the two docks are certainly great spots for kids under 10 to swim with life jackets! My 1 and 3 year old daughters certainly enjoy it!
