The staff was helpful when needed, however hard to find. The nicest staff were the ones selling promos on the floor. Maybe they were short staffed, but there were times the front desk was empty and the bar at the pool was unattended for 10 minutes while we waited for a drink. Speaking of pools…that’s the whole reason I booked the Rio, the 4 pools and hot tubs. Unfortunately, only one pool was open, no hot tubs were available and it was only open 10-5. And the lifeguards don’t pay attention to the pool very well. The room was clean, but the shower/toilet room had a lot of moisture damage. Wall paper and paint peeling and the showerhead should probably be replaced. The water pressure was great though. The elevators were sketchy. Only two of the four were working. Of those two, one would randomly stop at floors making the trip to the 37th floor a lot longer. They were also dirty. Spilt drinks on the walls and floors. I don’t think I’d recommend.

The location was great 20min walk to the strip and 15min walk to the university and the staff were excellent. The pools were really nice and clean, they had nice lounge chairs. The room was spacious. However the coffee in the room wasn't good and there's no hair conditioner, not a big deal but nice to know. If your room is on a second level, you have a lot of stairs to climb with your bags. The walking paths and lobby were very enjoyable.

Great place to Stay , close to The strip but without the annoying people.
