Cute house on a quiet lake with kayaks, paddleboard, canoe and rowboat. Very clean and had everything we needed to cook all our meals for a week. We plan to return.
Wonderful place right on the lake, lots of wildlife we were fortunate enough to actually see a large black bear roughly a 1/2 mile down the road!!! Great stay all around property was clean and as described!!
Place was clean and easy to get to everything. We made day trips to Spooner, Hayward, and Shell Lake. Would definitely stay here again. Hosts were in contact and very helpful.
We had a most enjoyable stay at the cabin, it had everything we needed! The kitchen was very well stocked and both the beds and bedding were exceptionally comfortable! Our host was very helpful with recommendations to make sure we could also enjoy the local eateries and find what we needed during our stay! Thank you for a very relaxing stay!
Cabin was just as pictured and described. Check-in was very easy and communication with owner was very good. The queen bed was comfortable and wifi worked great. We especially appreciated being able to bring our 2 house dogs with us. They enjoyed the getaway too.
A great piece of property. The cabin fit our needs perfectly. Everyone was able to have their own space and enjoy each others company eating at the large dining room table, playing board games, watching tv and fishing. The cabin was very clean and the area quiet and relaxing.
Spent 2 nights here in October with adult sons and our dog. We all loved the space. Lots of public seating (both living room and spacious dining room), tons of games, fully appointed kitchen, and comfy beds. And the lake was gorgeous!!! The sunset views are perfect. Really appreciated that we had boats available too. I would stay here again!
We loved sitting by the wood stove and looking out the picture window over the lake, while our kids played on the lake ice below. We enjoyed board games and puzzles at the dining room table, reading on the cozy living room chairs and sofa, and cooking big meals for everyone. Pretty close to Hayward for winter festivities during Birkie week.
We loved everything about this place. Cabin was able to accommodate 2 adults and 5 kids, so much to do on the water! The kayaks, paddle boat, canoe and row boat were a wonderful perk and used often. Many fish were caught much to the approval of the kids. The owner was very friendly and helpful and could be reached easily and quickly. We will most definitely be back!
We enjoyed our stay. We’ve been staying at VRBO cabins for many years, and this cabin was close to ideal for our needs. Mattresses were by far the best we’ve slept on. It was hot, so it was great having the A/C in the cabin. Kitchen was well appointed. The lake is a little weedy in the area of the cabin, but swimmable; it was a nice quiet lake, and perfect for paddling the canoe and kayaks. We appreciated the screened-in porch, deck, and large BBQ gas grill.
We had a wonderful time at this beautiful cabin on the lake. Everything you may need is supplied. My family had fun kayaking, playing yard games and on a rainy morning inside games. The only problem our time was too short. We didn’t want to go home to the noises of the city.
Property was the best we have ever stayed at! Very well maintained, wifi worked great and had a/c. Nice dining area and kitchen, and the bathroom was beyond hotel quality! Nice dock for watching the sunsets, and great fishing around the lake. We caught many panfish, rock and large mouth bass. plenty of wildlife and activities. We used the canoe, kayak and paddle board. The owners are very nice and very reachable. Nice fire pit and fish cleaning shack! We look forward to our next visits!
The property has been very nicely updated. There was enough comfy furniture for our family to sit together and watch TV or the view the lake. The kitchen is the most well stocked of any rental I have ever stayed. There was every pan and utensil I needed. The washer and dryer were a huge plus as we could do our dirty laundry as we came off the trails. The trails are accessible from the road the property is on which was very convenient. The lake was perfect for kayaking and paddle-boarding which we took advantage of several times. We had a great stay!
We really enjoyed our stay at this house on the lake. We utlized the canoe, kayak, and rowboat which made getting out on the lake fun. It was quiet and peaceful but still close enough to Spooner to get food delivered or drive into town to get whatever you may need. We drove up to Lake Superior and also Pattison State Park. Both were about an hour and fifteen minute drive away. Only negative was that there are a lot of lillies and vegetation in the water just off the dock. So, we had to use the rowboat to get past this in order to fish without getting snagged. I would give a strong recommendation for this house. It was a nice vacation.
Our family had a wonderful time at this cabin. The cabin was very clean and and comfortable. We enjoyed using the kayaks and canoe on the lake. Spooner was just a short drive from the cabin also very easy to make a day trip up to Lake Superior.
Had a fabulous time. Jim was great and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. The house was clean and very nicely furnished. Would love to come back again.
