The grandparents' house of 1945

The Casa dei Nonni, is an old shop-house, where my grandfather used to build tows and scialabbs, today he becomes a treasure trove of memories and emotions.
The restructuring begins in small steps, and day after day my grandparents' house comes back to life and flourishes again after years of waiting.
Ready and patient to wait for me, the house-shop, it turns out, bringing to light in the bedrooms today, a shop once, large slabs of Lecce stone and ancient niches, wisely left on sight.
Where once the wheels of carts and scialabbà were worked, today there is a large kitchen decorated with special designs that recall the old Salento floors.
The characteristic doors, renewed and "stracallate" (decorated) with the original drawings of the Salento trainees, make the house unique and original.
The terrace awaits you to spend pleasant moments of relaxation sipping the wine offered by the owners.
Everything left as it used to be, the Casa dei Nonni, is ready to revive and welcome within its walls those who want to enjoy the original Salento beauties.

Das Ferienhaus ist sehr liebevoll im Stil der 40er Jahre restauriert und dekoriert. Wir haben uns sofort dort wohl gefühlt. Das Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet und auch die Küche hat alles, was zum Kochen gebraucht wird. Den uneinsehbaren und ruhigen Patio haben wir sehr genossen - genau so wie die Außendusche dort. Durch den persönlichen und sehr freundlichen Empfang von Tomasso und Maria haben wir uns sehr willkommen gefühlt. Ihre Wertschätzung wurde für uns auch durch die Gastgeschenke zur Begrüßung deutlich. Der Standort ist für das Erkunden Apuliens gut gelegen. Das Auto kann direkt vor dem Haus geparkt werden. Die Nachbarschaft ist ruhig und ein Supermarkt ist fußläufig gut erreichbar. Wir können diese Unterkunft uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

Belle maison dans une région magnifique !

Parfait emplacement pour visiter la région. Nous sommes allés à la Cala Porticciolo où les fonds marins étaient superbes, à San't Andrea, à la cala dell'Acquaviva... Otranto est à 30 minutes, et vaut largement le détour avec ses somptueuses cathédrale et église San Pietro. Lecce est à 40 minutes. Un peu plus loin, côté mer ionienne, Porto Selvaggio et Gallipoli, hyper charmant pour un coucher de soleil. Bref, tout est à une distance vraiment raisonnable de la maison. La maison est très jolie avec ses voutes et ses pierres anciennes. Elle est bien équipée. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié la douche extérieure. J'aurais mis 5 étoiles s'il y avait la climatisation, et pas seulement les ventilateurs. Car en été il y fait très chaud. Il n'y a pas la wifi, mais la 4G est bonne. Merci Maria pour l'accueil.

La casa è situata nell’entroterra salentino, in posizione strategica per poter visitare tutte le bellezze della zona e per poter apprezzare il fascino del Salento profondo. Gli host sono stati accoglienti e discreti, sempre comunque pronti a rispondere ogni qual volta ce n’è stato bisogno. L’arredamento è spartano ma confortevole. Consigliatissima a chi vuole visitare il Salento in lungo e in largo.

Ein Kleinod in Apulien

Von der ersten Begegnung mit Tommasso und Maria bis zur Verabschiedung haben wir unseren Urlaub in diesem wunderschönen Haus mit so viel Geschichte genossen. Die Zimmer sind groß, hoch und luftig. An allein Fenstern sind Fliegengitter. Die Betten, davon sind genügend vorhanden, sind sehr bequem. Trotz der unfassbaren Hitze(welle) konnte man es in dem Haus mithilfe von ein paar Ventilatoren sehr gut aushalten und auch schlafen. Dank der Terrasse mit Grill kann man gemütlich abends draußen beim Essen sitzen und verweilen. Die Waschmaschine und ein zweites Wc sind sehr hilfreich. Vielleicht würde eine Geschirrspülmaschine das Leben im Urlaub erleichtern. Es fehlt an nichts im diesem Haus und Haushalt. Das Auto parkt man direkt vor der Haustür. Das Haus liegt perfekt um in wenigen Metern die Stadtmitte erreichen zu können. Von Spongano aus erreicht man innerhalb von 40 min die schönsten Strände des gesamten Stiefelabsatzes. Die Gastgeber sind wundervolle Menschen und sind immer erreichbar. Man bekommt sehr schnell eine Antwort. Vielen Dank, dass wir eure Gäste sein durften und bis bald.

Casa perfetta per passare le vacanze in completo relax. Ambiente pulito, casa molto grande, ideale per famiglie. I proprietari gentilissimi ed ospitali. Dalla casa si possono raggiungere delle spiagge stupende anche in meno di 15 d'auto. Consigliato!!

Très belles maison

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour, la maison est très agréable. Tommaso et Maria sont des personnes vraiment très accueillanteset attentionnées. Spongano est au milieu du talon et nous a permis de faire aussi bien la mer adriatique que la mer Ionienne. Nous avons pu visiter presque tout le sud des pouilles.

Il vero Salento

Che dire della nostra settimana di soggiorno nella casa dei nonni... semplicemente perfetta. I nostri ospiti, Tommaso e Maria, ci hanno accolto con la gentilezza che caratterizza i salentini, dandoci la possibilità di gustare fin da subito alcune specialità del luogo (i prodotti del loro cesto di benvenuto e i pomodorini dell'orto hanno avuto vita brevissima con i nostri ragazzi!). La casa è meravigliosa, ristrutturata con amore e passione, e la disponibilità e simpatia di Tommaso e Maria è un valore aggiunto. Per vivere il Salento non si può desiderare nulla di meglio.

La nostra è stata un'esperienza davvero positiva, Maria e Tommaso (i padroni di casa) sono persone splendide davvero, accoglienti e generose. La casa è grande e bella, supera di gran lunga le aspettative, è profumata, pulita e non manca di nulla, persino il benvenuto con delle ottime friselle del posto e i "maritati" , delle verdure dell'orto,acqua fresca e dell'ottimo vino bianco. Spongano è un piccolo paesino vicino a tanti luoghi di interesse, non lontano dal mare. Ringrazio infinitamente Maria e Tommaso che ci hanno fatto davvero sentire a casa. spero di ritornarci nuovamente con la mia famiglia. Consigliatissimo

La casa dei nonni è un posto magico, in cui si respira in ogni dettaglio della casa la sua storia antica. La casa è stata accuratamente ristrutturata da poco dai proprietari con gusto e amore. Noi ci abbiamo vissuto per due settimane in sette, 4 adulti e 3 bambini e siamo stati benissimo, le stanze ampie con meravigliosi soffitti a stella, due bagni e in più la doccia esterna. Impossibile non ricordare la grande cucina in cui abbiamo potuto cenare comodamente in compagnia. La casa ha buoni servizi nelle vicinanze... Senza dimenticare il meraviglioso mare del Salento facilmente raggiungibile. Una vacanza perfetta! Grazie a Maria e Tommaso, due persone davvero gentili e di cuore, sempre disponibili quando abbiamo avuto bisogno.

Hy Maria! Thanks for the wonderful holiday in Spongano! The location was very good for our intention to see both of the coasts and the surrounding! Also the renovation of the building is very well done and we felt very well in the old architecture and the interresting rooms! Maybe a dishwasher would be a great helping hand in the holidays! Anyway we had great days in your flat and we thank you a lot for being there!
