The staff where very helpful and everything was clean. However our bathroom sink was very slow to drain meaning it filled up while brushing teeth. The TV remote had many faulty buttons one being the on/off meaning it was on all night. There was also a loud humming noise that kept us awake.
The bar down stairs had no draght beer, this was not an issue as plenty of bars locally. The breakfast was fine.

It's central in the Manchester's gay village which is great. Our room was very noisy - thin walls from next door (!) and loud party street outside. The shower was a bit mouldy at the edges but the bed was comfy and with earplugs we slept. Breakfast was only continental - a small bowl of yoghurt and muesli and pastries. No coffee apparently other than the pods in the room with long life milk. Not really the 'boutique' we were looking for - I was with my daughter on a uni visit and the room felt more like a gothic black den with a large 'suggestive' mural on one wall and a huge mirror on the other side. I didn't feel this 'vibe' was very clear from the website!
