We had an air conditioner in there for your use! Also, a blackout shade so the sun setting in the west could be blocked - plus blackout lined drapes. We don't know what else we could do! We have so few hot days in Spokane that getting an in-house a/c is not practical. We trust the guests to close the blind and drapes during the afternoon/evening sun to help keep it cool in there. We, also, trust the guests to open the a/c valve in the nighttime to bring in cool air.

We arrived late and could not get in, we text and called an no answer. After trying we finally left after 30+ minutes to find a hotel with most booked up and expensive. We had let them know we were arriving late and they said the code would work anytime we needed to come and go. They reached out the next day to let us stay for free. We had already paid more for 1 nt at hotel then we would have paid for our whole stay with them, so we took them up on the free night. I waited a bit to write this because I don't ever want to give bad feedback, but they over encourage you to only give 5 stars. This was not a 5 star stay. The mattress is smaller than the frame and very thin & old, with a mat over the top. Every time one of us moved it moved the whole bed. The shower was not clean at all (I took pics). We also did not have hot water, it was warm at most, but consistent, so it was most likely set low. We needed a hot shower after a stay in that bed and all the manual work we were doing while in Spokane. These are things that could not have been adjusted by letting them know while we were there. They have a list of things the VRBO money is going towards. I suggest a new mattress should be at the top of that list, it is not on the list at all. Cleanliness and a comfortable bed are the most important things when picking where we want to stay. Accurate ratings is also extremely important. The room itself seemed clean and the new carpet was nice.

Wow! You really had that miserable of a stay?!?!?! I wouldn't come back if I were you! We did offer you a free night - which you did take advantage of. We, also, apologized profusely for the code not working at 1-2:00 a.m. We "over encourage a 5 star rating" - uh, where?? when?? Sorry you didn't like the bed. We have had over 500 stays and this is the first time anyone has complained. The mat on top is an ultra expensive magnetic pad to help everyone sleep their best. Would like to see the pictures of the "non-clean shower" - that's not the norm for us!! The lack of hot water could have been timing - we do have other guests and this is our house also. Sorry for you - but our hot water tank is working perfectly!

We very much enjoyed our stay. It is a little ways out of the city but it’s not bad at all, in fact it’s kind of nice to be out in a quiet safe neighborhood. It is a somewhat shared space so we were a little hesitant but it ended up feeling quite private and we never actually ran into the host or any other guests. Very responsive and very clean. Thanks!

Everything smelled fresh and was clean. Good taste in decor. Loved the ease of entry with code. Loved the overall feeling of being at home. Even though our room was on the 2nd floor, perhaps the window area above the air conditioner (AC worked very well BTW ;) could have a privacy screen of some sorts. We needed the AC, but didn't want to pull the curtains in front of the unit. (Just a small courtesy). Thank you, hosts! You were very kind and accommodating. Have a great and prosperous rest of the summer/year!

We, also, had been exposed to sick extended family members and in no way wanted you exposed. We never got sick but at the same time we wanted to respect your space. You were still provided with a clean, safe space that was quiet and welcoming in and of itself.

Nice stay overall
Although we were not there much doing our 2 night stay, we did enjoy the time when on property. Clean and comfortable with easy access to freeways. Our only issue was with the furnace. When it kicks on it is very noisy.

Don and Morna’s home is very clean, bed is very comfortable and location is in a very quiet residential place but very close to Whitworth and all the restaurants and stores. Both Don and Morna were very kind, easy to communicate with and accommodating. We had an unfortunate incident of car theft at downtown Spokane and Don helped my husband at 1am to cover our rear window and allowed us to park on their driveway. They went out of their way to help us. If given the opportunity, we would definitely stay here again. I would give more than 5 stars for their home, kindness and concern.

The room I stayed in was very clean and quaint. I had everything I needed for my stay - king bed, air conditioner, refrigerator, and own bathroom. The room was decorated with homey touches and the neighborhood was very quiet. I also met Don and Morna who were my hosts. Very accomadating and nice people. This was a very quiet place to stay in a nice neighborhood. It was close to the venue where our daughter's wedding took place, and not far from restaurants and shopping. There were lots of little things that made our stay comfortable, such as a coffee pot and mini fridge in our room. A TV and microwave are the only things we could have wished for. Loved the spiritual and patriotic items around the house that made us feel at home!
