"Roundabout Cabin is a magical stay. The setting is private and tranquil. The house is a unique, hobbit style. The interior is luxurious and cozy. The shower is one of a kind. The cabin is private, yet close enough to Portsmouth to be convenient. I would highly recommend this stay for anyone seeking seclusion and a little bit of adventure."

"Hotel was fairly clean. Sink the the room was closed and couldn’t get it open. Bathrooms are tight and no vent which steamed it up really bad. Beds were squeaky. Aside from that, not a bad experience."

"I've stayed at a BUNCH of different hotels in my almost 50 years, BUT this hotel is by far the WORST hotel I've stayed at. The front desk associates were all nice and helpful, but it's only so much they can do. The room wasn't clean, it had lady bugs and stink bugs everywhere! The walls had stuff all over them, the floor was filthy. I was given a handicap accessible bathroom, that had bugs in the tub. The breakfast area was also FILTHY, food all over the floor, sticky stuff on the floor. I would NOT recommend this hotel, let me not forget the train that kept coming through during the night. Hopefully I can upload the pictures I took."

"The Lodge was perfect for my stay. The rooms are very clean, and the large windows overlooking the hills and lake were definitely a plus. There is a trailhead nearby with easy access to the lake. The seating benches could be replaced as they are old and splintering, my only complaint. It is a beautiful place overall."

"I was disappointed with this booking experience. The website stated that check-in instructions would be provided three days prior, but I never received them and had to contact customer service because I was unable to reach the host. Response times were consistently slow.More concerning, the host was aware of intermittent plumbing issues for at least two weeks but failed to disclose this before our arrival. Upon check-in, we discovered that the shower would not drain and the toilet was backed up. Multiple attempts to fix it with a plunger were unsuccessful.When I messaged the host, it took over an hour to receive a response. She stated she had tried to send a message earlier that day about the issue, but we never received anything. By the next morning, the problem had worsened significantly, with water overflowing and the entire house smelling of raw sewage. The only response we received was that it was “out of her control.”To make matters worse, we were refunded less than half of the total cost, which did not reflect the severity of the situation or the impact on our stay.The last message sent was asking for a reason why we weren’t issued a full refund and we never received a response. This is extremely disappointing and poor communication on the host. I was surprised since the previous reviews didn’t mention any issues. "
