Great relaxing retreat with many thoughtful amenities to enjoy both indoor and outdoor spaces. Excellent guidebook and personal notes for exploring the local region.
This is a lovely property that I can highly recommend. It is situated in a beautiful environment, it is spacious and sparkling clean, and it offers every possible amenity. The owners' design aesthetic was extraordinarily appealing. The layout of the upstairs and main floor baths is a bit odd, but that does not warrant a markdown of a five-star rating.
we had a great time. Loved the spacious house and the front yard. Peaceful location . Awesome host . Always reachable and ready to help.looking forward for the next stay .
Everything at the cabin is well thought-through. Very artfully appointed: Kitchen was fantastic, and very comfortable for all 6 of us. It was a great home-base on a very busy graduation weekend. The rain kept us away from using the amazing outside space, and the road was muddy- but the location was very beautiful!
We loved this property! Close enough to Ithaca and the hikes we wanted to do. House is even nicer than pictured! Beautiful patio area where we enjoyed coffee in the morning and a firepit each night. House was super clean. Owner responded to questions quickly. No negatives to report!
This cabin was absolutely perfect for our family while in Ithaca for our daughter’s graduation. The layout was perfect with multiple levels of living and sleeping for us to be comfortable and although the weather didn’t cooperate to enjoy the outside patio area thoroughly all weekend, we did enjoy a couple games of pickleball, eating at the large table and a beautiful sunset! The kitchen is well stocked with everything you could need and the coffee bar was great! The cabin itself is super clean, warm and cozy, love the mix of all the beautiful wood species. The yoga studio is a great space to relax and stretch. Communication with the owners was super easy and they were very responsive. We will definitely be returning!
This was my very first time booking a stay through VRBO, and I truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The house itself exceeded all of my expectations — it was by far the best stocked home I’ve ever stayed in, with every little detail thoughtfully provided to make guests feel comfortable and at ease. From the kitchen essentials to the extra touches throughout like speakers and paddle board, it was clear that the hosts had gone above and beyond. And I have to say, the patio area alone is worth booking this property for. It was such a beautiful, inviting space to relax and unwind, and quickly became my favorite spot to start and end the day. The yoga room was also amazing to end our days with a yoga session with! Altogether, this stay set the bar incredibly high for any future VRBO trips, and I couldn’t recommend it more highly.
We traveled to Ithaca to drop our daughter off as a freshman at Ithaca College. We stuck around and explored the beautiful town. Due to a high volume of people moving in, we chose to cook in rather than eating out most nights. The kitchen was stocked more than any rental we’ve ever stayed at and the house was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. In addition, the host was very generous to leave us some tasty treats and was very responsive throughout the entire process. I highly recommend this comfortable retreat!
This cabin was the perfect solution for our family (myself, two siblings, our spouses and a pre-teen). Tri-level design allowed all some private space. We were in the area for a wedding in Ithaca and to explore some of the Finger Lakes parks/hikes/waterfalls. It was close enough to Ithaca to be a short commute for wedding activities/visiting Cornell, etc, while being out in the woods, quiet, shady, with wildlife, etc. Was nice to unwind around the fire pit in the evening and cook a few good meals. Owner communication was great, and they quickly accommodated a request for an iron to prep the wedding attire.
The Log Home Retreat was an excellent space for our family to stay and celebrate graduation weekend. We were 15-20 minutes away from all of the Cornell graduation activities and Ithaca sites.
The home is spacious and had everything we needed to host our extended family. Brad and Emily have done a wonderful job making the interior of the log home both functional and beautiful. The outdoor space makes the experience that much better with the ability to gather, play, relax, and enjoy nature.
Everyone in our group from age 2-72 found a spot on this great property that connected with what they needed to make the best of this weekend getaway. We highly recommend it and only wish we had found it sooner!
Had a fantastic weekend at this out of the ordinary location. Great spot to just chill but close enough to Ithaca to take advantage of all it has to offer. House was immaculately clean…seriously not a speck of dust…and had all the amenities. Kitchen is beyond fully stocked and plenty of sheets towels and blankets. Downstairs is totally private apt too. Lovely scenery and we had a fire at night. Host was super responsive and helpful. We had 6 people and was really comfortable for all. Highly Recommend! (Didn’t use yoga studio but it’s lovely inside!)
Our getaway to property was perfect! The owners had a helpful booklet with property and area info that was very helpful. They even had some surprise local treats, fresh ground coffee beans and condiments to help greet us! The accommodations were exactly as described or better in every aspect. We enjoyed all that there is to do on the property, which included - yoga/meditation, pickleball, cornhole, campfires, games, and wildlife watching (they even had a pair of binoculars for us to use! The property was conveniently located to all of the parks and waterfalls that we wanted to visit and we made a couple trips into Ithaca to check out, downtown, Ithaca college and Cornell. A cool breakfast/lunch spot close to the cabin we hit between hikes was Dolce Delight, we recommend this place almost as much as the Cabin! Thanks again to the owners for sharing their property and taking the time to have everything in place for our family’s “unplugging” getaway!!!
The property was lovely - it was peaceful oasis about 25 minutes from downtown Ithaca. We enjoyed its spaciousness, and the nice touches that made it feel like home.My 3 teens enjoyed a layout that offered privacy. They also used the yoga studio and played pickleball. The hosts answered our questions promptly, and we took them up on their recommendations (eat at Dolce Delight, shop for groceries at Wegmans). We appreciated the folder with info about local live music and hikes/waterfalls and used the guidebooks (and bug spray) again and again.Excellent stay - it will be at the top of our list during our next visit!
