Ayrshire Cottage - luxury modern rural private retreat
The property is next to the trail for walking and biking. Awake to birds singing. and stunning views to Coronet Peak from the main bedroom (Queen bed) upstairs and the Remarkables from the 2nd bedroom (European King Singles) . The Living room has a lovely big sofa and looks to the north, so is extremely sunny. Just the spot to lazy about, unwind and read a book. Open up the sliding door and enjoy the fresh country air. There is some ready material and board games. The room has a sky TV and wifi available
The Dining table makes an excellent spot to have breakfast in the sun, a Nespresso coffee machine will help the start to the day, followed by alfresco dining area outside. It is a very warm cottage with central heating and fireplace (wood included).
The two bedrooms are upstairs, which have sensor lights for night time use. The spacious main bedroom has stunning views north to Coronet Peak and has a new Queen size bed with electric blanket and cosy duvet. The bedside lights make it great for reading at night in bed. There is a full length mirror and hanging rack with coat hangers. The second room is set up as European Singles and captures the Remarkables. It has hanging rack space too. There are two writing desks upstairs creating the ideal place to write a book or complete work away from the office. Between the two bedrooms is the bathroom, with a heated towel rail, make up facecloths, hairdryer and shower complete with Only Good energise Natural hair & Body wash. There is a separate toilet and vanity unit upstairs and another one downstairs.
The kitchen is well appointed with a ceramic hot plate cooktop and a inverter microwave, Nespresso coffee machine, Electric jug, toaster, tea pot, plunger coffee, small cock pot and everything you need, like - tea, coffee, sugar, salt, pepper, oil, cereal, milk included. There is a dishwasher, washing powder, Nespresso coffee pods, shopping bag, umbrella for those wet days. The north facing patio captures the sun all day and until the late evening. It is all set for the occasion with a table, chairs, sun umbrella and BBQ. The Portuguese laurels are making a start at creating the private setting. Ayrshire Cottage was built in 2019 on 3 acres, of land that was once part of a Wakatipu Ayrshire dairy and sheep farm
The development has the Wakatipu basins historic preserved Hawthorne hedges around the triangle which makes up the “Golden Triangle” and each site is separated by large berms, providing a magical privacy and not impending the stunning outlook to the surrounding mountains from every direction. We lived in the Cottage for a year whilst the House was being built and moved into the house in August 2020.
We have 4 pet friendly hens and one Standard Poodle 12year dog (Bess)

Loved this hideaway. Great views of Coronet Peak. Lots of wee treats left by the hosts.

Loved this place! Stunning location with fabulous views of mountains out virtually every window. It is clean, tidy, spacious and modern with the thoughtful addition of fruit, cereal, milk, bread and even homemade biscuits awaiting us! Like a home away from home.
Also, really well placed to get to all the great activities this area has to offer. Rural but 5-10 min drive max to petrol and shops.
Hosts are onsite and super friendly and welcoming, as is their dog, Bess, who we loved visiting us! Huge, immaculate lawn which our boys enjoyed playing cricket on with four hens as spectators!
Couldn't rate this place or hosts highly enough, would absolutely stay again!
