Serene cabin getaway minutes from hiking, biking, UTV and snowmobile trails.

Located 10 miles outside of Spearfish SD(on a minimal maintenance gravel road. There are washboards and it is dusty), in the heart of the Black Hills National Forest. This 1800 square foot, 2 bedroom, 2 bath log home is the perfect place to relax and enjoy all the Black Hills have to offer. This home can sleep 8 comfortably. Sit on the deck overlooking an open meadow that is home to many deer and other wildlife and enjoy the morning sunrise or our spectacular view of the sunset. Many marked walking trails within minutes of the property. The snowmobile and UTV trails are within a mile or two from the cabin, you can ride out from the cabin. If you are looking to cool off with a dip in the water, Iron Creek Lake is approximately 1.5 miles from the cabin. After dark settle in to view the spectacular showing of stars. With very little light pollution you have a birds eye view of the wonderful night sky.

Black Hills UTV vacation

Location was amazing. We could access UTV trails not far from the house. The views from the house were beautiful as well. This was by far the best Vrbo we have stayed in and had wonderful amenities. Highly suggest staying here.

This cabin was so cute and very clean and well stocked with all the essentials and then some! This quiet, secluded mountain home was the perfect place to take my family of 5 for a little getaway! Close access to hiking and atv trails was awesome! We loved the iron creek lake close by too! The manager was excellent to work with which made our stay even that much better!

A little piece of heaven in the Hills

This cabin is a little piece of heaven in the Black Hills. Beautiful views ,lots of deer in yard and a very nice log home. Close to Iron Creek lake grandsons had a blast catching trout. Would recommend to anyone to stay here, we will be back for sure!!!

Beautiful cabin, way too big for just us two, I could have brought my whole family, but then it wouldn’t have been so nice and quiet…everything that you could want and more is there. Enjoyed the outdoor fire pit, it was 102 back home but nice and cool there so lit a fire. Would definitely stay again!

Weekend Retreat

Beautiful cabin with all the amenities needed to have a relaxing retreat. The owners have thought of everything needed to make your stay comfortable including a well stocked kitchen. Cabin is located in a quiet valley where you can watch the wildlife in the morning and evening. We did not want to leave and plan to come back!

Best Host Ever!

In addition to being a beautiful house in the perfect location, Colleen made sure the house was equipped with all of the comforts of home! I have never stayed at a VRBO where the host has anticipated everything a guest might possibly need. Quiet, central location perfect for spotting deer

Our family enjoyed a week long stay at this adorable cabin. This cabin was perfectly stocked with everything you can imagine! Our family of 8 found it very cozy with enough room for all guests. We rode utvs from the property daily and enjoyed watching deer every night and also watched turkeys several nights. Devils bathtub was a family favorite, especially for the kids. The gravel road from Spearfish to the house was extremely rough pulling our trailers due to current gravel conditions so we were glad we didn’t have to trailer the utvs to ride each day.

Home in the Country

This cabin has all the comforts of home but you are high on a mountain far from civilization.It has a fully stocked kitchen with all kinds of condiments, a full spice rack and nice German knife set. As Colleen explained it, you don't want to drive 10 miles back to town if you needed something for a recipe. The cabin was complete with extras like a wood burning stove with plenty of fire material and an outdoor heater out on the deck.
