"Nearest shop I found was the Co-op in Kegworth.
Room was clean and fine, but there was no info, eg that there's an alarm which goes off if you don't latch the kitchen door, who to contact and how I'm case of need. Prior to arrival, a map of the site showing checkin location would be useful.
I booked with hotels.com.
I was disconcerted to receive repeated, unexpected, curious-looking emails and phone messages threatening to cancel my booking if I didn't send my government id and a...

"Great place to stay, the room is exactly as advertised. 20 minute walk downtown and well connected to East Midlands. The studio with the small kitchenette and the private bathroom was definitely worth it. The gym is great for a little workout "

"The property was immaculate and spacious in a lovely quiet area. Everything you may need for your stay is provided including a complementary bag with some breakfast and tea and coffee supplies upon arrival. Customer service was excellent. I really can't fault this property at all and I would definately recommend it to others and would revisit myself. "

"As a returning guest, it was a pleasure to come back again to the Sunshine Apartment. The owners and the team that run the accommodation are so kind and wish for you to have a perfect stay. The apartment is in a lovely area. I particularly enjoy the two big smart TVs in the lounge and bedroom when staying. The powerful hot shower. The peacefulness of the isolated apartment gives you maximum chance to relax. I look forward to returning once again in the future. "

"Lovely setting but no one there to give us the key even though we’d sent 2 emails requesting info regarding collection with time of arrival. Noise from 9pm TIL 4am so couldn’t sleep. Dog faeces on paths. Toilet broken. No microwave. Needs updating and cleaning of the shower room. Lounge and bedroom roomy and comfortable. "

"A mixed bag: positives: house was clean and the key lock and parking was convenient, and food and drink supplies very welcome.
Negatives: our booking was changed fairly last minute from “the terrace” to a different house “the Mews” for unknown reasons. (So my review is not for this listing, but for “The Mews”.) Although the house was on the same estate and also had 3 double bedrooms, one of the bedrooms was pretty small, and the original property had the master bedroom on its own top floor ,...

"Great location. Easy check-in and check-out.
Towels were provided you just need to bring your own toiletries.
The small kitchen had everything we needed. Fridge and kettle. There was an oven and microwave if you needed them.
Would definitely stay there again.

"First of all it could not be found. My sat nav couldn't find it. Varney Rd did not have a street sign and I don't think 44 actually exists. It took over 1 hour to locate this den. The key lockbox is situated on a wall, unmarked, and with all adjacent doors un numbered, on what can only be described as wasteland behind some shops. Once I located the keys (2) I brought my car around to park on this wasteland and was met by a couple of males getting their 'ladies' ready for work. The doors in this...

"We stayed at the hotel on one of the hottest days of the year and we were alerted in advance by the hotel to the absence of air-conditioning. Nevertheless the hotel provided fans to mitigate the discomfort and this was very much appreciated. The staff behaved professionally and obligingly throughout and were helpful, including when I rang in advance to book a meal in the hotel restaurant. The hotel and rooms were clean; the toilet flush in our room was temperamental but this was the only hiccup. Our stay was enjoyable. We did not take breakfast but the meal in the restaurant gave good vale for money"
"Located in Brayford Pool, where the old port wharf has been redeveloped like other cities (Gloucester etc) in has a car park and big multistorey next door as well.£10.40 for 24 hrs. Excellent position for relaxed dining and drinking on terraces/outdoors. Short walk to main High St shops. A significant climb up to the elevated section of the city with cafes, shops and the Cathedral and Castle.
Spacious room, but a little expensive. Excellent air conditioning on hottest day of year . Excellent breakfast.
Major disappointed was the bar staff's refusal to start up the coffee machine at 23.06 hrs for 2 cappuccinos at the "24 hr bar ". We did have a coffee machine in our room.
We'd certainly stay there again."
"1 night stay room good hotel could do with a bit of maintenance ie toilets near reception one of the taps not working. Basement bat not fully stocked, staff very friendly and polite"
