Staying at floating and boating

My family and friends ( 14 total people) stayed at the property it was very clean and plenty of rooms. A lot of activities at the house to keep everybody having a great time on our vacation would highly recommend this property has beautiful views of the lake.

Perfect week at the Lake

Great house and vacation

This was our second year in a row staying at this house. It has everything that you can think of for a great vacation. We always love it. It has plenty of space (there were 13 of us ranging in age from 1-67) and you never feel crowded. They even have a variety of life jackets that fit even little ones. We will definitely stay at this house again.

Amazing home, great stay!

This home surpassed all of our expectations and was a blast to stay at! It is very large and open inside, has a huge master bedroom, ample outdoor space, and a great basement for you to gather and play games at. Would recommend this property to anyone wanting a house on the lake in the area. Thanks to Edie for great communication and for making things as easy as possible!

Great house, great location!

Edie was available to help with anything we needed (which was only float rentals and questions — we had no issues during the week). It was the nicest lakehouse I've ever stayed at. We loved having the kayaks and paddleboards, and firepit and cornhole, and the double decker dock was awesome. Beautiful setting. It can be a busy part of the lake once you get a little farther out from the dock, but close to the dock was protected and calm.

Great place to relax and have fun

This home and property were a great place for our family to celebrate a late Christmas get-together. With it being winter, we were not able to get in the water, but there was plenty of fun activities to do inside as well as a fire pit right on the water to enjoy. We found the kitchen well equipped and the whole house very clean. I would not be surprised if we went there again.

Relaxing Oasis

This lake house has it all!! We stayed during a range of temperatures (33-60) and we never got bored. It is spacious, cozy, and set-up well. The only thing I would say is make sure you are not planning on finding a ton of this to do around the area. The Winery- The Rosemont- is beautiful and there is a bakery-BJ’s- that has UHmazing cakes, pies, and cinnamon rollsCan’t wait to come back.

Annual Vacation

This was our 5th year at Floatin' and Boatin' We love this house and the location! The set up of this house fits our needs perfectly. The downstairs has so much for the kids to do and the dock with the jump gate is a huge hit with everyone! The owner is always very helpful and quick to respond if needed. We have never really had any major issues though. We will definitely continue to vacation here!!!

Best weekend ever!

This was my first time renting on Vrbo and I was very nervous. This place was perfect! Everything was labeled and clean. The owners were on top of communication and all instructions were very easy to follow. The house is gorgeous and has everything you need for an amazing get away! I will def. Be coming back to this same house 😊

Amazing property that will make you want to stay

We are a group of veterans who take time twice a year to get together amd kayak fish. The property mare than fit the need. You genuinely could not ask for better accommodations. We had no trouble finding anything in the house, everything was labeled.the fishing was great. We even caught a 22lb flatheas from the bank.

Perfect family vacation house!

We enjoyed this beautiful lake house for a family vacation with grandparents and young children (5-8 yrs old) and it was perfect for everyone! It was a relaxing oasis but also had everything there to enjoy for the week. Our kids were entertained the entire week with paddle boards, kayaks, rafts, dock jumping, boating (we rented a pontoon boat), s’mores by the fire pit, and so much more! It was also the perfect location for a trip to the local winery and a golf outing! The restaurants near by were delicious too! The home was a perfect set up for several couples (3 rooms with king/queen beds) and the lower level was a great for kids. 2 bedrooms with bunks, movie room, ping pong, pool and more! We were in heaven all week and hope to return next summer!

Awesome house, great lake location!

Thoroughly impressed with the accommodations and location of this home. House was very clean, had every gadget imaginable and was great for our large group (12 adults, 4 children). Loved the location on the lake, and all of the games and outdoor amenities. Caught a nice catfish off the dock, too! We all agreed that we would definitely return. If there was one improvement/suggestion that we would make it would be to give the upper deck a good brushing from the cobwebs, or enclose. We loved sitting on the porch at night but the bugs were overpowering at times - bring bug spray and a thermacell. Otherwise - a phenomenal stay.

Beautiful Lake Home with Everything you Need!! So Peaceful and Relaxing!!

We had such a great week at Floatin and Boatin! The house is on a peaceful and beautiful part of the lake! We enjoyed the dock and the splash mat along with the paddle boards and kayaks! The kids enjoyed fishing and jumping off the top dock. This house has everything you could possibly want in a lake home. The kitchen was the most stocked kitchen we have ever seen at a vrbo and everything in the house is neatly labeled and organized! The beds were comfortable and the house has plenty of seating and areas to hang out! The downstairs game rooms and extra kitchen were a much added bonus and something we really enjoyed having! Edie was so responsive any time we needed anything and was quick to help with all our questions. We had such a great week and would definitely come back to this house !! Thanks again for opening up your home to us:)

Wonderful Vacation!! Cant wait until next year..

The house was amazing, immaculate, we couldnt have asked for a more perfect setup. We had family from ages 5months to 66. Everyone had a wonderful time. The downstairs game room was perfect for the kids to play in and hang out late in, without waking up anyone else. The lake was perfect. The boating and jet ski rental places were very nice (Although they forgot to tell my husband that the jet ski had a storage compartment under the seat- he put it in the compartment that they suggested so now its in the bottom of Lake Gaston somewhere) The Boat rental place was also nice (we were involved in a pretty big boating accident- another boat wasnt paying attention and crashed into our boat- luckily everyone was okay- the boating company refunded our money- and the fish and wildlife game warden and volunteer fire fighters who responded to the crash site were also very nice). Overall a wonderful trip- we cant wait to go back again next year.

Great time on the lake

This home is delightful. Edie is wonderful to work with. Our party of 11 included 3 couples and 5 teenagers. The downstairs is perfect for teens- 2 bunkrooms, a kitchen with a full sized refrigerator, large tv with recliners, pool table and ping pong table. Upstairs is the main living level and includes comfortable beds and a very well stocked and organized kitchen. We were pleasantly surprised by all of the kitchen wraps and Ziploc bags provided. The glassed in and covered porches are comfortable and a nice reprieve from the sun. The boat dock is great- kids loved the jump deck. We enjoyed the large cove that this property is on. It is a good size for any behind boat activities- tubing, skiing, wakeboarding and calmer than the main lake. If you want to head out onto the main lake, you do have to navigate through a fairly low, narrow tunnel. Our 21 ft center console boat made it, but it was tight. There is a marina just on the other side if you need gas. There is a convenience store very close by for small items and we chose to bring enough food for the week so we wouldn't have to travel to the Food Lion. Between the 2 refrigerators, there was space for it all. We enjoyed the kayaks and rented the inflatable hot dog which was very fun. This was our first trip to Lake Gaston and we are so glad we chose Floatin' and Boatin'!
