Great Location
This house is exactly as described. The house and the location were great. kitchen was well equipped (although the old style replica stove was a little challenging for a Thanksgiving dinner - but we made it work). Small details such as spices and Tupperware and aluminum foil made for a nice touch. Would definitely stay again.

Perfect House in Great Location
We absolutely loved our stay in your beautiful, updated farmhouse. The decor was lovely and beds/furniture were very comfortable. This was our first time to the area, which had so much to offer, and the home's location was walking distance to eating spots and biking routes. It was such a bonus that our dog could stay with us too. The only drawback was that we couldn't stay longer, but hope to return!

Wonderful property!
We rented this lovely house so we could spend a long Easter weekend with our UVM student. It was perfect! We thoroughly enjoyed the quiet location in South Hero but were grateful to be so close to Burlington. The house was clean and well-appointed. A great place for the family to gather, including our Golden Retriever. Will definitely be returning!

Warm and cozy
We stayed here with another couple and our four dogs. We truly enjoyed being able to have our “home” to visit Vermont in the winter and make our own meals. Well stocked kitchen and even had essentials like spices, wraps, and baggies. Plenty of room and comfy beds. We visited breweries, general stores, and friends in Plattsburgh. Would highly recommend!

Great location. Very clean house. In the description, on one page it said 2 baths. In another it said 1 and 1/2. My fault for not seeing both but would have reconsidered with only one full bath. That said, the one bath was very updated and nice. I would suggest that each bedroom have a mirror. The community is great. The foliage was breathtaking. The house was a great stay. I would recommend to others.

The house was just as advertised. It is a great location and a beautiful spot. You can walk to restaurants and bagels and bike all over from here. Or just enjoy the beautiful backyard and birdsong. We enjoyed our stay and the house is great. The home was super clean and very well appointed if you like to cook and bake.

My family had a wonderful time staying at this property. It's in a great location that offers easy access to the main road while also feeling fairly secluded. The house is well maintained, and I appreciated how everything in the kitchen was labeled. The house also had probably the best supply of towels that I've ever had in a rental. It was a really nice touch. My kids adored the "secret reading spot," and they spent a good amount of time curled up on the beanbag chair. This is an excellent place to stay with kids, as it is well stocked with books and activities. The yard had two swings which we made use of one evening. The furnishings were comfortable, and I think it was a good value. South Hero itself provides nice access to Burlington (about a 20 minute trip). There are some decent options as far as restaurants right there. Of particular note, the fairy castles (which were mentioned in the binder) made for a cool morning adventure. The only thing that I will mention in the way of something to be aware of is that there are stairs throughout the house. (Not a problem per se, but just something for people to know about.) Having little kids, we were glad that they provided a gate for the top of the stairs.

A Wonderful Weekend
Our expectations were exceeded! This house was spotless clean and so big. The yard was great to walk our dogs in and we loved all the amenities in the kitchen. Short drive to Burlington, where we spend most of the time. I would most definitely book this property again. We had a wonderful experience and it was awesome to be able to bring our dogs along.

The house was exactly what my family & I needed for the long Easter weekend. Plenty of space, toys, crafts, blankets, & books. We were able to cook dinner & bake dessert. The outdoor firepit was just the perfect way to end our days. Lots of local things to do outdoors & a short drive to Burlington.

This was our first time in South Hero. We came in January and unfortunately a lot of things were closed, but we didn’t really care. The house was gorgeous and so clean. We brought our four year old twins and they had a great time! The house had lovely accommodations and we felt so welcome. We’re definitely coming back!

Lovely house!
My family really enjoyed staying at this beautiful house. The kids enjoyed the bunk bed and the claw foot bath tub as well as the reading "nook" in the loft. All of the beds were nice and cozy. The decor was well done and everything was nicely set up and so clean. The fire pit and apple trees out back were a fun bonus.

Great getwaway!
This is a cute gem of a house in South Hero. The house is sunlit, cozy and comfortable, and was clean and well-maintained. We loved getting bagels in the morning from Wally's Place and enjoyed the fire pit in the yard. It was also so easy to get to Burlington! The listing is a little confusing in terms of number of beds though- just to clarify, there are 3 bedrooms. Two have a queen bed, and the third has a twin-over-queen bunk and a crib. (the pictures do not reflect this). I was a bit disappointed when I emailed Vacasa to ask about this and they said they did not know. But that aside, you truly cannot go wrong renting this beautiful property. Enjoy!

Overall very positive! House had lots of space. One thing I wish was different is the woodstove being in the living room -- currently it is in the hallway by dining room and we found ourselves gathering there instead of in the otherwise very nice living room. A little too close to the main road for my taste, but very close to lake champlain and burlington.

Exceptionally clean, well maintained property. No surprises, even our 20 lbs turkey got the antique stove. Convenient stores open but most everything else closed due to Covid. A very quiet, relaxing family retreat. Great boards games avail.

Amazing stay
The house was perfect. Everyone had their own rooms. The kitchen and living rooms are spacious and well equipped. I loved sitting on the back porch reading, and the kids loved being a short walk to ice cream! We rode bikes to White's Beach and paddleboarded at the public launch just down the road. It was the perfect getaway. We plan to return next summer!

My husband and I stayed here with our 3 young kids and LOVED EVERY SECOND. The kids did not want to leave at the end of our week. It was a lovely week of outdoor activities: there are many beaches and state parks nearby so we hiked, swam, and played soccer almost every day. There was one rainy day, but it was equally fun as the house has a thoughtfully stocked cabinet with games, puzzles, and toys. The house was spotless, comfortable, and has a great covered porch where we ate almost all our meals. WE WOULD DEFINITELY RENT THIS HOUSE AGAIN. My only word of advice is that if you're picky about food or have any restrictions/allergies either come stocked with your own groceries or factor in a grocery store trip during your stay. The only 2 "grocery" locations nearby are glorified gas stations; the closest real store was Price Chopper about 20ish mins away.

Loved our short stay! Impeccable attention to detail. Cleanliness, home features, design and property were spot on for a relaxing time to spend with family in South Hero. The rental was as described; the backyard was particularly lovely. My toddlers enjoyed the swing and climbing in the fruit trees. The dining table and seating area under covered deck was perfect, especially with the kids. The house was clean and comfortable. The shower was fantastic. We’d like to come back soon!

Cutest Place Ever!
Beautiful home in a beautiful neighborhood, this house was even better than the pictures. We walked in and were amazed, the house was just beautifully decorated and we had a front and back deck to enjoy the outdoors. We biked to the nearby farm stands and all around the neighborhood, it was absolutely incredible. We wish we could have stayed longer, what a wonderful experience.

The main floor features generously sized gathering spaces including a high-ceilinged family room with powder room, an airy dining room with a table that would easily accommodate ten, and the terrific kitchen which is stocked with herbs and spices, staples, cooking equipment and utensils as well as attractive place settings. Nice mud room off the kitchen, which is the easiest way to enter and exit the house when there's snow on the ground. Beds and pillows are good quality. Upstairs bath has a claw-foot soaking tub and a contemporary shower. Washer and dryer in the basement. Lovely ambient light throughout the house; artificial lighting is somewhat sparse but manageable. We look forward to our next visit.

Fantastical!
This home was just amazing in every way! It’s cozy, organized and spacious! Easy drive into Burlington. (My only tiny bummed moment was that I couldn’t find their iron and Vacasa wasn’t able to contact the owners to find out where it was. Luckily I managed to get the wrinkles out by drying my outfits in the dryer lol) We intend to stay again next year! It was just so perfect!

Peaceful family getaway just the right distance from the city.
Such a charming vacation spot. Walk down the street to the lake or drive 15 minutes to get to downtown Burlington. Our family enjoyed the quiet and peaceful surroundings in a well kept and beautiful home. We will definitely be back during the summer so we can spend some time enjoying the lake.
