Lovely old inn, beautifully maintained and well-appointed with antiques, overlooking pretty gardens, convenient to the college and town, cared for by delightful proprietors.
We had a lovely stay this past weekend. Our room was ready and waiting for us when we arrived a bit late. The hosts are wonderful and our breakfast was delicious complimented with great conversation. We'll be back!
Richard and Ruth were superlative hosts. So helpful, friendly and kind. They welcomed us as if we were family and assisted us with everything that we required and more. Couldn’t recommend their comfortable and historic place more highly. A must for anyone looking for a perfect stay in the Boston area.
Richard and Ruth are wonderful hosts in their beautiful historic inn. Their kindness made it a bit easier to say goodbye to our daughter for her first year of college. The rooms were perfectly appointed and the home was clean and the attention to detail was impressive. I look forward to returning!
What is not to love about being welcomed into Richard and Ruth’s home. They are wonderful hosts and spent hours talking to us both during our stay. The house is an amazing building and learning about its history was wonderful. We walked into the tiny town and got some dinner, lovely options available. We can not wait to visit again and will be recommending anyone travelling around this area should certainly book a stay.

Daniel Stebbins House was wonderful. Beautiful rooms. Next to downtown. Enjoyable breakfast. Fabulous experience!
Quaint B&B in the heart of South Hadley. Within walking distance of town and Mount Holyoke College. (Stairs to second floor are a bit steep for anyone with accessibility issues.) Great overall local place to stay.
The nicest B&B we have stayed at in recent years!
I highly reccomend for people visiting the Amherst college area. 5 minutes walk to Mt. Holyoke college, restaurants, shops, cafes, and movie theatre.
The Daniel Stebbins Inn is the quintessential New England bed-and-breakfast. An historic house, restored but with perfect patina, it was appointed with stunning period-correct furniture and art. Our room was fitted beautifully, and the bed was exquisitely comfortable. Ruth and Richard are consummate hosts. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
The property is pristine. The owners love what they do and it shows. They are very attentive to the guests and a a pleasure to speak with. The cost is reasonable. We will definitely be back.
The house was lovely! The particular room I had , the Frances Perkins was listed as having hardwood floors on Expedia, but it actually had carpet (I only mention this because of allergies.) I misplaced my key while I was there, and could not reach anyone to help with that for about 2 hours. I do like the hands-off style, but maybe needed a better way to request help in this situation. Overall enjoyed my stay in a lovely property.
The Daniel Stebbins House was beautifully restored and filled with lovely period furniture. We slept in the 'Daniel Stebbins Room' which was very pretty and comfortable. The bathroom was clean and modern. The landlord and lady were delightful and friendly. We were just sorry that COVID changed their practice from providing a full breakfast.
From the charming presentation of the beautiful (and very large) roses, to the champagne on ice and savory chocolates - this B&B rocks! Our one night stay was a treat for both of us - recently my wife turned 70 and soon our marriage will turn 30. Hence, selecting the optional champagne package.
From the moment we arrived Ruth made us feel right at home. This is a beautiful, historic and very clean B&B including a nice balcony for relaxing and a peaceful area for breakfast. And while I’m on that subject, the Continental type breakfast did include vegan options, much to my liking.
The couple who owned the B&B were realy nice and friendly. If you needed anything they were there to help. The women spent alot of time out in the gardens around the house, that was beautiful and smelled Great. Very nice place
I had a wonderful stay at this wonderful B&B. Ruth and Richard are wonderful hosts. This is located a short walk from restaurants near the campus of Mt. Holyoke College.
This is a peaceful and lovely spot to stay in a beautiful house. It's a short walk to nice restaurants and the owners are extremely warm and welcoming and felt like friends by the time we left. We were sorry we had only booked one night and hope to return again.
