Margaritaville Vacation Club - St. Thomas

"The property and room were absolutely gorgeous, but I would think twice about booking here for the following reasons:
1) There is no housekeeping for short stays (under 7 days) even upon request. The most you'll get is extra towels and bedding sent to your room (upon request), and they won't collect dirty linens. We shoved our used linens in a closet, out of sight.
2) The property is expansive and has plenty of steps and hills. We stayed at the hilltop, which was 8 flights of steps (250 steps plus some flat ground) from the welcome center. The property offers a shuttle service that busses guests around the property, but you might finding yourself waiting a while during peak travel season AND service ends at 11 pm, so plan to walk if you come home late.
3) The restaurant on the property, Landshark, is truly terrible. I ate there three times and hated it all three times. Poor service and gross food. DO NOT get the avocado toast. Please.
4) The hilltop pool swim-up bar was closed for my entire stay (the pool was open and staffed, but not the swim-up bar)."

"Staff was friendly. Restaurant and bar have been closed for two years. Pictures online do not represent what the property looks like. It appears maintenance has been neglected on the property. "

"The pool, beach and restaurant with bar was nice. Service in the restaurant was slow but food was good and waiter Rafi was very pleasant! I would stay again. Beds could be more comfortable."

The Westin St. Thomas Beach Resort & Spa

"Services are terrible at this hotel. It may be discriminated specfic type of perple. To some, it is extremely friendly with talking and explaining for 20 min. or longer while we were line up to check out for rushing to the airport at the time there were only two customers service representatives were available. When we checked in, they gave juice to almost all check in customers except us. I am not sure if it is discreminated or what! Hotel needs major change to qualify for all time five stars hotel status that is a long way to go. Simon"

The Ritz-Carlton, St. Thomas

"Everything here was excellent, including the staff, the facilities, the room, the view from the room, the food in the restaurants, the pool, the available water toys (kayak, hobbies, ) and the very attention to details that convey that sense of luxury (ie the shampoo, the towel, the soap, the amazing bedding, etc). They are trying to keep the sargassum away with a barrier and partially succeeding at keeping it under control. The beach is relatively small and facing east."
