The owners live next door and were on hand for anything we might need, but we didn't see or hear them unless we needed to. They were the perfect hosts. "Stayed in a suite that was very comfortable. Nice to have the extra space. Restaurant was nice and food of good quality, perhaps an extra waiter would have made it quicker. Good location near the centre of the town. We had a bonkers car with no roof, doors etc so secure parking was very important and this hotel has private underground. "

The building is in peer condition, the interior drab, the carpeting in public areas quite dreadful. The room was tired but clean. "Nice hotel in Angouleme. Had a little difficulty finding it at night since not familiar with area. Had after hours check in which went well, although gate for accessing parking area was not automatic but manual. Hotel is new in an older building, but that adds to its charm and has all the modern amenities (including A/C, which not all hotels have in the area). The room had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, but was small like most French hotel rooms. Enjoyed our one night stay and would stay here again if we are in the area. "

"This is our second time staying here while driving from Netherlands to San Sebastian. The first time was so great we did it again and this time was even better. The staff is 10/10 amazing. Very patient with my bad French even thought they spoke English perfectly. Claire even spoke a good amount of Dutch. She checked us in and helped us with the menu and was overall a sparkling ray of sunshine. The dinner and drinks were great. This is a classic motel. Clean, hot shower, comfy bed, fabulous staff, close to the highway. It is older but not in a bad way. It has character and is just a great place!"
