Quaint Cabin Near 2 PA State Parks - Ricketts Glen & Worlds End

"The cabin was cozy within a beautiful setting. It was close enough for us to visit the local state parks. What we appreciated was the kitchen being well stocked with cooking utensils, pots and pans of various sizes. We would definitely consider going back there again."

"It was very clean. Checking in was very easy. The host kindly left snacks and coffee. The fire pit and backyard were lovely. It's a great little place with beautiful hiking near by. I would stay again."

"Can't say enough good things about our stay with Clay and Dave. They were warm and wonderful hosts, and their home and the location were both beyond beautiful! Our room was spacious, comfortable, and quiet. Breakfast was delicious, and I especially appreciated the flexibility when I made a couple of special requests. One of my favorite things was drinking coffee on the porch and watching the hummingbirds. It seemed like there were hundreds of them, and we got to know their habits after being there for 9 days. They didn't name our room "Hummingbird" for nothing! Thank you, Clay and Dave, for a wonderful stay. Hope to be back in the fall for hiking. (And hope that the weather cooperates then!)"

"The cabin was clean, well maintained, and comfortable. We had everything we needed to make meals and coffee. We appreciated the host’s quick and clear communication. The cabin is well situated close to Ricketts Glen State Park and places to eat. We enjoyed hiking the falls trail and relaxing afterwards on the screened in porch with the sounds of the creek and birds in the background."

"Fabulous house for a family reunion. Super clean and spacious. Bedrooms are on 2nd & 3rd floors, which would be difficult for elderly that have challenge with steps. Kitchen work space small but really well stocked. We had one family in charge of cooking each night, which worked well. Huge porch with a lovely view of yard and peek of the lake. Awesome and plenty of seating to eat dinner every night out on the porch with 18 of us. Large family room provided our small children space to play and simultaneously space for adults to visit. Several fans provided, but we brought extra small window fans which were also used. Just a 10-15 minute walk to Eagles Mere beach which is fantastic. So much fun using the kayaks, paddel boards, and peddle boats."

"Surprisingly good hotel, we would stay there again. But here are a few suggestions to improve: The emails they send in the days preceding the reservation are misleading. They suggest eating at their own 220House Restaurant, but it is permanently closed, so that was not an option. Also, on arriving, there was nobody at the desk There were two phone numbers taped to the door. One dialed to a NY #, the second dialed to a Florida #. Both were were non-operational phone numbers. The phone # in the email was also invalid. We almost panicked, thinking that we arrived at a ghost hotel that was shut down. There was QR code taped over the button on the intercom and we didn't see the button at first, but then hit that and someone answered. All's well that ends well, but management might want to rethink how present contact options for arrivals. The other problems: 1 roll of toilet paper, and I'm sure we could have just called and asked for more, but the path of least resistance was just walking to Family Dollar next door and buying a roll. Also, hallway lights would have been nice. Our room was more of a suite with a hallway to the bathroom and entry, and it it was impossible to see anything. The microwave, fridge and coffee maker were in this dark hallway. The room was 89 degrees when we arrived, but it was a heatwave, so I won't hold this against the hotel. But it did take about 3 hours to lower the temps to sleeping tolerance."
