"Villa Somone was a wonderful home base for our trip! Papa, our host, was extremely accommodating and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. His hospitality really made the experience special. The villa was about 45 minutes from the airport and 1.5 hours from downtown Dakar. We opted for a private cook through Papa at an additional cost, and it was absolutely worth it — the meals were fantastic, and having that option made our stay even more enjoyable. The villa is right on the beach. The continuous sound of the waves as a backdrop to our trip was one the most favorite parts of my stay. One thing worth noting for fellow travelers, especially those coming from the US: electricity is billed as an additional charge in this region, which is a bit different from what we're used to back home. It wasn't an issue once we knew to expect it, but it's helpful to plan for in advance. Overall, a great stay, and we'd happily return. Thank you, Papa, for such warm hospitality!"

"We had an amazing stay at this beach house. The location was perfect, the house was very clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. Overall, it was a great experience and we truly enjoyed our time there. The only area for improvement would be the check-in process and communication, which could have been smoother and more responsive. Other than that, we would definitely stay here again."

"This hotel is simply superb. It hs all the amenities of a large resort (swimming pools, oceanfront), good food, but it is locally owned and inspired and has very positive character. I travel a lot and would recommend this place very highly."
