The Lake House, Pond, 3 Min to Lake, Pets Ok

Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space. Down the Road from Birch Creek Park & Lake Somerville. Kick off your boots & sit on the pier for fishing or watch the deer. Outdoor features include a firepit, patio with plenty of seating, BBQ pit, & a pond right up to the property. Interior finishes include two Queen Tempur-Pedic mattresses, a full kitchen for entertainment, Smart tv’s two full baths, laundry, & plenty of room to stretch for games and relaxation. 30 minutes from College Station or Brenham.

Animals are allowed. We do have a strict animal policy, no animals inside any of the bedrooms due to carpet or on any furniture, if left unattended they must be outside or in crates, this includes emotional support animals only exception is for ADA under the control of the handler at all times. Fee is $100 and must be paid with booking.

A wonderful country get away.

We stayed at the property while on a girls trip to Round trip. The property is surrounded by lots of wildlife that was fun to watch. Very clean and accommodating, one of the nicest VRBO’s I’ve stayed at.

The home was very clean, kitchen well stocked with all the things to make a complete meal. Fishing on the lake at the home was fun. This is our third time staying at this location . Hope to see you next year.

The house was very well done, relaxing, and comfortable. I was supposed to be hunting this weekend, but instead came to Somerville. A real treat and bonus for me was to just do the deer out the window every morning in the evening. In fact, I want to pretty buck this morning for about 30 minutes. That was really nice for this area of the country. I definitely wanna come back and help. My kind host will allow me to.

The house was very modern and clean. The kitchen had new appliances and was spotless. Dishes, cooking pots and pans were provided. Coffee and tea were provided and had two kinds of coffee makers, Kurig and Mr. Coffee. Beds and pillows were great. It was fun to watch all the deer come up to the yard while we had our coffee in the morning and evenings.

Treasure find at Lake Somerville!

We absolutely enjoyed our mini getaway! We were looking to get something close to the lake with a boat ramp since my daughter had a fishing tournament the weekend of our stay. We were only 5 min away to drop the boat in the water! It was perfect! The host was highly communicative and very accommodating. This place had everything; even a cute dog kennel! The farmhouse decor was tastefully done and it was extremely clean with wooden floors. If I had a lake house or beach house I would love to duplicate this cute place! We were elated to find there was a coffee station with a Keurig and next to it was a s’mores kit. Kids loved it! I especially appreciated the spices to cook with (cooking oil, flour, sugar creamer, salt, pepper, etc) and bath toiletries. Everything at this place was very thought out. The only thing we wished it had were blinds in the living room. Tho we love the open space, but also could have used some privacy at night with our family. We had fish bowl vibes. Since we didn’t know the area we felt like everyone could see in. This could be a concern for safety sake. Other than that it was perfect for our little family! We will most definitely be back!

Nice get-away spot

This was a nice get-away spot <5 minutes from Lake Sommerville. The indoor space was nice and cozy with all the kitchen amenities, perfect for what we needed. Quick hikes during the day at the lake and making lunch and dinner in the house. The backyard patio was nice for night campfire. This house is in a little neighborhood with neighbors on all sides. I fully enjoyed my stay, but will say the outdoor space was not as appealing as the pictures (could use some maintenance, like mowing the lawn). Overall perfect for the indoor time that our group wanted and needed.

Close to College Station, but not too close

We were in the area to run the BCS marathon. This cute property is near enough to be handy, but rural enough to enjoy the tons of deer that visit in the morning and evening. Cute place!
