Our family had a lovely stay and it was conveniently located so close to rutgers! We were down for a state championship swim meet and it was so nice to drive 8 min back to the house and be able to cook lunch and dinner for the kids and allow them to rest between sessions. I would highly recommend!!
The home was clean and had everything we needed (though it was more of just a place to sleep while we were in town so we didn’t require a lot.) Most of the mattresses could use an upgrade but all in all we enjoyed our stay.
It was comfortable environment, but if only there were no mosquitoes --.

Disliked: Cleanliness
Needs improvement
Arrival/check-in was very easy. Communication with host was quick & helpful. Location was convenient. Good to use as a place to sleep, but not much else. Disappointed in overall cleanliness of the property. Several of the sheets were stained and wrinkled on beds, rips in bedding/comforters and fabric on couches. There appeared to be gum stuck to chairs in the living room, other furniture clearly stained, & attempted to be presentable with furniture covers that were also stained. The carpets had dust, hair, and clearly had not been vacuumed or the floors mopped prior to our arrival. Lamps had burnt out light bulbs. Crumbs were left all over shelves in refrigerator. Keurig machine did not work. The towels provided were not enough for number of guests & several pillows were missing pillow cases. Ceiling in basement had several damaged & missing tiles. Mattresses were extremely uncomfortable. HVAC did not seem to keep up with cooling/heating to set temperature.

Excellent stay with family and friends
A spacious and comfortable house, perfect for a relaxing stay with a group of family or friends. The space is well-maintained, peaceful, and ideal for spending quality time together. We truly enjoyed our stay and would happily return!
We had a really nice stay here as a group of family and friends. The place is perfect for gatherings — the rooms are very spacious, comfortable, and well-suited for spending quality time together. The host was welcoming and responsive, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. The amenities were well maintained, and the overall atmosphere made us feel right at home.A great choice if you’re looking for a comfortable, roomy place for a group getaway. Highly recommended!
Hey, we really enjoyed this house, with it's 4 levels and multiple social TV watching spots, plenty of bathrooms and bedrooms. Most of all I loved the deck. Thanks! Really enjoyed it for my daughter's graduation from Rutgers!
We stayed here for the location near the hospital and to accommodate a family. There were little options. The house and furniture is very old and worn down. The floors creaked and there was a foul smell in the upstairs bathroom. The kitchen utensils are old with scratched teflon pots and pans, broken scissors and blunt knives. The beds upstairs are thin and stained and one mattress was so lumpy that a family member slipped and fell off the bed. Ants were crawling around the living room windows.
A lot of things need attention at this place. We couldn't run the dishwasher because the flap that holds the detergent pack won't stay closed. The sink that you have the washing machine drain running into was stopped up and there was no plunger anywhere to be found so we bought one and fixed it. The tub spout in the upper bathroom isn't attached to the shower because the pipe is pushing out too much. I only saw a couple wash clothes in the whole house. The tv in one of the upper bedroom doesn't work. Get those things fixed and it will be great.

Spacious not clean
I recently stayed at this house and while it did have some positive points there were a few significant letdowns. The space itself was quite large and had the potential but unfortunately it was quite dingy. The floors and walls felt worn down and the cleanliness wasn't up to par - it didn't quite match the fresh welcoming vibe the photos seemed to promise. The biggest disappointment was how misleading the pictures were. The home looked much more well maintained online than it did in person which was a bit of a letdown. There were noticeable issues (mouse traps) and some outdated furniture that didn't match the bright stylish look portrayed in the listing. It wasn't a terrible stay but definitely not what I expected.

Unwanted random people came over asking for money Stairs are okay, but were extremely unmaintained and unsafeThe flooring was jacked upPaint job was awful Hosts have no clue what's actually on their property Kitchen doors didn't lock and just touching them opened them upUnless you have streaming TV nothing is really usable or user friendly Keyless entry was awful and not user friendly Electric was poorly wired and light switches don't match and we were told it was an upgrade, we are electricians and no it's all just poorly wiredThe gas grill was broken we went out of our way to get both bc after we filled the tank then the grill did not automatically lighter we had to get a to light the gas grill but by then someone went and got charcoal and we are over an hour late with children We were not prepared to have guests sleeping in a poorly lit basement They knew we had 8 guests we had to call and ask for more towels There was bloodstained pillows Honestly I grew up vacationing in rental homes and this was one of the worst we are absolutely not satisfied Lipstick on a pig and they tried to lie to me that poorly wired 3 way switch is an upgrade An autistic child/teenager answered the door to two men claiming to be there to collect bill money, she was terrified and confused bc she didn't know bc she didn't have money and the adults were napping, so she told them this was a vacation house and closed the door
