Pet Friendly 1 Bedroom Apartment; Quiet & Secluded - 1/2 hour from town

Cozy one bedroom apartment on our property above the detached garage. It would be perfect for 2 people, but can sleep up to 4 with space for an air mattress (not provided) in the living room. It has a living room, full bathroom, kitchen, and one bedroom. There is also a balcony deck with two chairs and small table to enjoy drinks or snacks. If you have a pet please make sure you include the pet fee

Our property is only one mile away from Rattlesnake 192 and ten minutes from the Rattlesnake Souvenir Shack. Laurel Lake beach and boat launches are about 20-25 minutes away, and there is space on the property to park a boat if needed. 45 minutes to Sweeties Ice Cream.

Wonderfully nature get-away!

My husband and I stayed for 9 days with our dogs to hike in Daniel Boone National Forest and paddle board in Laurel Lake. The hosts were super kind and even offered to drop us off to do some boating and gave us some fresh eggs for breakfast!

Peaceful restoration

This is an excellent apartment above a garage. It feels really big and like a place you could easily stay in for a week or more. The hosts are super kind. The location is easy to find; if you want a rural setting this is the location. It is close enough to destinations in the area that you don’t have to drive forever, but far enough away not to listen to traffic.This is a real gem.

The property was beautiful. We saw more than a dozen deer and wild turkeys. Rick and Kathy were very kind hosts and a pleasure to meet. We had a wonderful visit and look forward to a possible future visit

I came down to swim and fish at the lake and river, nice place away from everyone and out in the country. Tons of wildlife good clean place and fire pit would definitely recommend! Nice people

The best getaway!

Kathy and Rick go above and beyond in their preparations, kindness, generosity, and hospitality. When you stay with them, it’s like staying with family who care deeply! I highly recommend booking here, and it’s so close to Laurel River spillway and Cumberlands. You won’t be disappointed!

Anniversary Getaway

We had an amazing time at Rick and Kathy’s place! Consistent with the other reviews, both hosts are extremely hospitable and generous! They made sure we had everything we needed and went above and beyond in providing for us and showing kindness. We loved the beautiful location, wildlife, and privacy, as well as their precious pup, Chili! We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and highly recommend— this time away was a huge blessing!

This beautiful place was like a dream. My daughter and I stayed over Christmas and we cooked dinner in the place. We were warm and oh so comfortable. I’m thinking about when I can returned. It was so lovey. Kathy and Rick even put up a little Christmas tree for us and some delicious And fancy Christmas cookies.

Very peaceful very clean one bedroom like apartment. Rick and Kathy are the best hostess. Although we didn’t need much they afford us anything we would need. Amazing Kentucky Getaway!!

This property could not have been any more well done. It’s on a pristine rolling pasture nestled in the Daniel Boone National Forest. It had everything we needed. It was private, had a great view and was a great value. The hosts were so nice and accommodating. If you’re looking for close access to the Daniel Boone National Forest’s amenities, a short drive into Somerset, and a great place to relax, this is it. We’re VRBO hosts as well. That being said, we can tell you that this place is on point. You won’t be disappointed.
