Cedar Ridge Lodge sits atop a wooded ridge on 100 acres of private, gated property called Mountain Vista Retreat. With breathtaking panoramic views, the spacious and well-appointed 3,714 sq. ft home offers the perfect getaway for groups and families seeking a rustic setting with modern amenities. Whether you relax on site or venture out into McCurtain County for nearby outdoor activities or points of interest, a stay at the Lodge will be memorable! *** NEW in 2025 fiber internet ***

At the heart of the home is its great room with vaulted ceilings, stone fireplace, and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the beautiful Kiamichi Mountains. The open plan allows for easy access to the kitchen and dining area offering plenty of enjoyment space for larger groups. Guests appreciate the second large entertainment room well-suited for kids and teens. Relax on the furnished back patio, take a dip in the hot tub, gather 'round the fire ring to make s'mores, or square off for a rousing game of horseshoes. The 2-acre mowed backyard offers endless possibilities for fun. All ages will enjoy a stay at Mountain Vista Retreat.

McCurtain County is chock full of outdoor adventure opportunities. Swim at Broken Bow Lake, ATV through the Ouachita Mountains, cast a line in Lower Mountain Fork River, pet a skunk at Hochatown Petting zoo, or zoom 35mph on a zipline through Beavers Bend State Park. New Year's Family Trip

Our whole family came to Smithville to get away from it all for a few days. The view is spectacular! The cabin was well appointed and had all the comforts of home. Would definitely recommend.

The view

We had a great 3 day weekend at this cabin and it was everything and more than you could ever ask for. The views, the cleanliness, how the cabin is equipped and the host hospitality. Doesn’t get any better and we highly recommend!

2nd year in a row!

Amazing location for the annual boys retreat! A great place to enjoy a movie by the fireplace, morning coffee with a game of cards, group activities, relaxation in the hot tub, and some good ol' quiet time away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Plenty of relaxation space and very comfortable sleeping arrangements. A/C AND heat work great. Host is quick to assist with any issues. This might be our yearly spot for some time to come!See you next year!

Our family ranged from high school ages to retired grandparents. We wanted to be able to enjoy outside activities with plenty of beautiful scenery and space. This house answered all we needed. We will be back.

Absolutely perfect!

We loved this place! Two of my grown kids live in big cities and they wanted to get away from it all and this fit their desires! It is remote so bring food! The game room was so nice with the pool table and huge TV. On a practical note, 4.5 bathrooms really helped our party of 8! Mornings on the sun porch were delightful! Everyone wants to go back next year!

Peaceful and secluded, amazing views

It was more than what we had expected. House was big enough for multiple families to each have their own space. Plenty of common areas for activities. Location is faraway from the hustle and bustle of the crowded towns, but still within distance if you needed to go to town. Bring everything you need including grocery's because it is secluded.

I can’t say enough about this property we had the most amazing time with all of our kids and grandkids! Each family had there own room with a bathroom in there we weren’t on top of each other had lots of room for everyone! We had a little issue with the AC they had someone there within an hour to fix it ! The view was spectacular! I highly recommend this property the host was the best !

Family trip

This trip was the most amazing trip. The cabin was perfect and so much more than we expected. Everything was so clean and supplied so well. The owners have went above and beyond to make sure you have an amazing vacation. The creek is the ultimate excursion. The beds were so comfy! And the bean bag chairs!! Wow. Can’t say enough positive about this place. I will be booking this one again soon!

Perfect seclusion

This property is a bit far from the Broken Bow / Hochatown crowds, but with as congested as the area has become, my family and I found the seclusion absolutely perfect. There’s plenty of trails around the property, lots of yard for kids to play, and ample space inside the beautiful home to keep everyone entertained. The drive is about 40 minutes north of Hochatown, so it is close enough if you want to rent a boat at Beavers Bend Marina or do other daytime activities, but it was always nice to get away from the crowds and traffic, and back to the quiet comfort of Cedar Ridge Lodge. Highly recommend.

Great getaway

Easy check in. View is Great. My son and I went riding SXS had a great time manager left suggestions where to ride. Not to far from town. Also if you forgot something Dollar Store right down road which we had to go to. Son loved the big bean bags and the kids area. Had marshmallows by the fire. Our fur babies did well also. Pictures very accurate. All in all great getaway. Plus for those who are tech people cell phone and internet worked great.

Cabin in the Sky!

We had such an amazing stay, and the backyard view is just breathtaking. It felt very nostalgic to give the swingset a go. Even though it rained the whole weekend, the temperature was so perfect, we spent a lot of time outside. Every single one of us agreed, we would definitely stay again. The only thing we could think of that would have been very useful, is some sort of cleaning products. Granted, there's a cleaning crew included in the price, we still prefer to maintain leaving things spotless and how we found them. Nevertheless, it was truly an amazing stay and Id definitely return.

Yearly Family Trip to Oklahoma

Every Year our family plans a trip to Disconnect and Reconnect. This cabin and its surroundings were just what we all needed. Waking up every morning with a cup of coffee to sit outside in the back and enjoy its views was the best part in starting off the day. We did all the trails on the property. All worth doing. Just keep in mind no distances are provided on the maps nor signs on the trails. So just keep walking... Creek wasn't full at the time so we couldn't fish there but on one of our trails we did end up finding a fishing spot. The cabin was nice and accommodated everyone. The kids enjoyed the playroom here they disconnected from us parents. The cabin is also near 3 other cabins just keep that in mind in the event that you see other cars passing by. But not once did we hear any disturbance from anyone.
