It was beautiful, and we enjoyed our cozy stay at your lovely home! We visited two nearby state parks...one in Oklahoma and one in Arkansas. I love that it was so close to 2 different states and areas. Broken Bow/Beavers Bend is really touristy, which is fun and fine, but I also like the small-town vibe of Mena as well. We mostly ate at the cabin, which had everything we needed to cook, and we appreciated that greatly! We loved the fireplace and fire pit the most even though the weather wasn't as cold as we would've liked, it still added to the charm and Christmas vibe we were going for! Thanks for making our stay great!
My family and I enjoyed our stay in this beautiful well equipped cabin. The owners were always super helpful when we had questions. Would love to stay again in the future! Thanks for everything!
We definitely enjoyed the Hillside Hideaway cabin. Check in and check out was a breeze, communication was great and everything you would need is provided. We loved sitting around the fire pit in the back, roasting marshmallows and telling stories. We had a movie night in the living room with the fireplace burning and the kitchen had all the utensils and cookware we needed to make our dinner. Beds were comfortable and towels were soft. The only thing that was discouraging was not being able to go kayaking…..due to the weather. Overall, we definitely would come back!
The pictures dont do it justice. What I first noticed walking in to dimmed lights and relaxing music was amazing for the hosts to provide that experience. The decor is spot on and there is so much to look at.. its just beautiful and makes you feel cozy!!! Then we walked outside in the back with the lights around the trees and firepit and it added to the magic. The hosts provided everything needed for cooking and the beds were comfortable. We did take a drive to the river and spent all day fishing. Caught a baby perch but thats it. It was still beautiful to be out there. Overall, we enjoyed it and will be back soon for a next time!!
This was our second stay at this cabin. It was just as welcoming and relaxing as our first visit. We spent three nights here and really enjoyed the cozy cabin and nights by the fire pit. We did a lot of exploring around the cabin and surrounding area. It was just a short walk through the trees behind the cabin to get to the river where we sat and watched the water while our daughter played. The hosts were great to deal with and the check in and ouy was very smooth. I highly recommend this cabin.
My husband and I try to take an annual anniversary trip to kayak a river. This cabin is a central location for multiple nearby options. It is easy to find and a very pretty cabin. Access to the River for a longer trip or heavy kayak not the best due to steep stairs but we made it work. Really enjoyed our stay!
Everything about our stay was perfect. Arrival & check-in went smoothly. The cabin was spotless & had such a welcoming feel. We badly needed a getaway & so never left the cabin area, just reading & enjoying each other's company. Needed help setting up TV. Onsite manager came right over & took care of it. Cabin was very cozy & we loved back deck overlooking the woods. Would definitely recommend this lovely cabin!
3 days of RnR in a Amazing little Cabin. It was magical right from the start as we walked in with low music playing setting the weekend off right. Very clean had everything we needed to cook all of meals. We checked out the Mountain Man Meat Market for all our meat for the weekend. The cabin is off the beaten path and very quiet. Walk to the river was nice with all the trees around. We were very glad we could bring our small dog. We have plans to return in the near future. We met the property manager Darin so nice and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay.
Week long retreat in the woods. Exactly what we were wanting and needing during Christmas week. This cabin was perfect in every way! Absolutely loved the decor with all the woodsy feel.
The bed was extremely comfortable and we found ourselves getting the best nights sleep of all year long. I can not say enough about the cabin. Property management came by every couple of days to pick up our trash which was very helpful. Only had 2 very minor issues and both were resolved very quickly by management. We can wait to make our plans again to come back.
My wife and daughter and I wanted to get away for a three day weekend. So after searching Vrbo for a cabin, we settled on the Hillside Hideaway. We liked the fact that it was not right outside Hochatown like the last one we stayed in. We loved the cabin amd the grounds. The beds were comfortable and the cabin very clean and cozy. The kitchen was well outfitted for cooking and even had some items we forgot to bring, so that was very helpful. The "backyard" was where this cabin really shined. The firepit was where we spent a lot of our time, and there was plenty of supplied firewood to keep us going for the three nights. Down the hill from the firepit was a little stream where my daughter and I enjoyed exploring. We even took the supplied canvas chairs down there and sat for an hour or two just to enjoy the spund of the stream. There is even a very pretty little hiking trail a short walk from the cabin where we were excited to see a bald eagle soaring above us.
Overall, we loved our stay at the Hillside Hideaway and look forward to staying there again.
Great place for a family to get out and wonder. Cabin was nice and cozy. We will be back for sure in the future. And kyayks were fun no fish biting though. Better for fall and winter here as summer will dry up all creeks and waterfalls around. But awesome place to stay for sure!!
Small trips with family are the best. This was a perfect weekend getaway. I wished we could have stayed longer there was so much to do in this area. Will definitely be back and cabin was perfect.
We really enjoyed our stay. Loved kayaking with the kids, and enjoying the porch swing and fire pit at night. We are already talking about coming back.
