"The location of King’s Kastle on Salmon Lake is excellent. The lake is wide at that point and offers great views of the sunrise, particularly from the upstairs master bedroom suite. The lake has less development than others where we have stayed in Maine. We enjoyed seeing loons, eagles, and osprey which are abundant. "This cottage was so immaculate and beautifully decorated. The owner thought of everything a guest may need and supplies were plentiful. It looks brand new and is cozy and comfortable. We loved staying here as it was close to Augusta and Gardiner. The owner was a pleasure to deal with and really went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed to make our stay perfect. "We had an amazing stay at the property. It was stocked well with all of the essentials that make a rental house easy to enjoy. (Spices, oil, sugar, ziploc bags, extra toothbrushes, wireless speaker, etc.) We brought our 19’ bass boat and caught a few dozen smallmouth and largemouth bass around the pond. Swimming was easy and fun, with brownie points for the steps with handrail that led down into the water. We saw so many loon families and enjoyed their calls. Thank you for a great visit!"

"This home is fully furnished and lacks nothing. The beds are comfortable, linens and towels clean and not worn/frayed/stained. Kitchenware was in newer condition. The lake is a beautiful setting. Although it is in a wooded area, the property is sprayed early in season and was not an issue. GPS took us right to address. Amy was a terrific host. I actually left my personal salt and pepper mill behind as another guest tucked it away in a cupboard and I missed it when packing. Amy was prompt to...
