Older place but excellent views with lots of wildlife viewing from the cottage windows. Bring binoculars. The hummingbirds love the flowers around the cottage. We would stay here again! Management was very responsive with communication and good instructions. Thanks!
The cottage was clean and well maintained. The views out the front window were amazing. You can see sea lions just a short walk or drive away. We watched a group of otters every morning swim around the rock formations at low tide. The stars at night were plentiful. There is plenty of good hiking in the area. The kitchen has everything you need.
The view was absolutely amazing. Plenty of space, very hot during summer days in livingroom, ceiling fans would be a nice addition, backyard could use a little redoing for sitting outside. It’s very charming and very close to restaurants and local sites. SeaQuake is a must to see. Well stocked kitchen, bathroom, etc. the views outside the livingroom is the best part. Hummingbirds, sea lions, pelicans, birds. Blackout curtains for bedrooms would be a very nice way to sleep in. Good neighborhood. Didn’t have to worry about our truck or belongings in the house. We would stay and bring family with us next time.

Granddaughter graduation trip
The location was just what we wanted. Close to the redwoods, shopping, activities such as rafting, horseback riding. Then to come back and relax and watch otters play, birds soar and the ocean. Spacious and clean. We loved our stay. Helpful staff also. Thank you.
At 1st nobody at office at check-in (5:30) after we had come from Florida on cross-country flight. We were fortunate to encounter an office worker (Adriana) driving around the entire property. After presenting her with valid receipts she gave us lock-box entry info. After that initial negativity everything was very good. The property was clean/ views from the Prop were excellent. Overall, I was pleased with my stay.
Very nice, need to fix the floors better cleanig by the t oilet

Could use some sprucing up
Spectacular view, a little older And more wear and tear than the picture showed carpet could use replacing and cabinets don’t close. Bathroom is renovated nicely.

The property was in poor condition needing major updates. You stuck to the carpet with socks on. We were without water for two days and are looking for a refund for those two days. Would never return to this property the pictures were deceiving. We will say the view was a million dollar view.
BRING BINOCULARS! This house is a nature lovers dream. If you forget binoculars, run out and buy some. Eagles, otters, seals, pelicans and more are right outside the living room window. There is also a lighthouse out in the sea, which you need to discover then google it’s origins. It will send you down a path that includes a shipwreck. Once you’ve done that, go into Crescent City and visit their museum (suggested donation- $5.00…worth it). You’ll get a lesson on the shipwreck and the lighthouse lens (a work of art, truly) is at the museum. You also must head further North to Trees of Mystery and walk their high bridges through the trees and ride the gondola. Do it, even if you are scared. You’ll be proud of yourself after. The house is large and comfy. Don’t let any negative reviews scare you away. It’s quiet and very private. We loved it!

Great view, great place to relax.
The view was great. Either from inside or hanging out in the back yard, the view of the river and ocean from the back of the property was worth the price. The area was quiet, the park had nothing but respectful tenants that weren't noisy at all. There was even a small boat ramp there for kayaks or small boats, access to fishing areas, 10 minutes from Brookings, and the area is not busy at all. I don't mean this in a negative way, the place could just could use some updates. Its definitely functional, but new flooring, updated kitchen, new beds, and a little paint could bring this place to a higher level.. I would stay here again, for sure.

Lovely
I love how peaceful the cabin is. I enjoy cooking in the kitchen, eating, and doing dishes because the view is breathtaking.
It is really quiet and I like the privacy.
The cabin is always clean and I have everything I need to have the break I look forward to. This will be our annual stay. I love it there.
It is kind of a weird place so we were a little worried but when we walked in and saw the view we loved it. We spent most of our mornings and evenings watching the otters-so cute. It did not have onsite laundry even though there was a washer and drier in a locked room in the house. The laundromat was close and did the job, but.... The tub was not a jacuzzi but it was a very clean huge tub that I enjoyed. The dishwasher flooded the entire floor and they were unable to fix it. The staff were all very Friendly and helpful. All in all I would stay there again but I would hope for some maintenance repairs.
Loved watching the sea otters and other wildlife out the window. Worried a little about the neighborhood but ended up being the perfect little house for our family. Loved the views out of the living room. Very quiet neighborhood.
The cottage is cozy and comfortable! It’s definitely a little older but it was very clean and the views from the living room were spectacular!! The wood stove just made it even more perfect! The main office was so helpful and friendly. We are definitely booking this again! It was a perfect couples getaway, but would be great for a family as well! Just loved it!!❤️

Dark, not clean, very cold
In the bathroom there were black hairs when we got there. It was very cold inside and the lighting wasn’t great.
The views were magnificent! The rental was rustic as advertised. The place was comfortable but could have had a few more kitchen utensils, oven mit, ice trays, etc. It definitely could have been cleaner, but overall, it was great.
We rode the bomb cyclone out and enjoyed every minute watching the waves, seals and birds.
The location at the mouth of the Smith River plus large windows made for fascinating viewing. The river currents flowing downstream and the tidal currents pushing upstream meant interesting patterns in the water, plus attracting lots of wildlife. We liked the fireplace, with plenty of wood and kindling provided.
