I stayed in Room 35. The door lock was extremely not safe, not secure at all, it could very easily be picked. I didn't have high expectations because of the price, but it shocked me about the safety. I would not stay here again.

the property is in a dilapidated state . bed mattress very uncomfortable springs quite painful . staff aloof from your requests no coffee or tea or water in room .tv only 5 channels and reception very bad no news film or any channel .it was a night mare and breakfast pathetic with practically no choice

Miejsce w porządku, ale bez szału.
Bardzo fajna lokalizacja. W okolicy sporo knajpek, po drugiej stronie ulicy jest już może. Z minusów, to wi-fi działające tylko przy recepcji i może piętro wyżej. Na pewno nie działo na siódmym piętrze. W łazience niewielkie okienko było stale uchylona i nie dało się zamknąć. Jak na grudzień, to trochę nie bardzo. W pokoju był czajnik, ale nie było żadnej herbaty czy kawy. Więc był praktycznie bezużyteczny. Raczej mało kto podróżuje z własnymi torebkami herbaty. Generalnie miejsce w porządku, za tą cenę, ale niewielkie zmiany znacznie podniosły by jakość pobytu.

Very good value for money
Excellent location, near bus and ferry stops. Quiet area with bars and restaurants literally round the corner. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very decent continental breakfast.

Great position and view. A 3-star hotel in 1970s, sadly neglected ever since. Unreliable hot water system, dodgy lift, reception on first floor up 2 dozen marble steps( - very unwelcoming). Advertised as free WiFi - but that is only in breakfast room. WiFi in bedroom is charged for. Minimal TV channels available - in fact none for the first two days of our stay. Saving grace - the view and convenient location. And the friendly staff.

Depends on your expectation. Roma is one of the older hotels and is beginning to show its age. There is a building site across the road where work is in progress 7.00 to 21.00 except on Sundays. There are loads of eating establishments in the area, the buses numerous and often full but don't think of hiring a car. You won't find a parking place easily and the locals drive like they are in a car crash derby.

Noisy due to building work next door starting early and finishing late. Otherwise nice enough budget hotel in a good location, we had a balcony with sea view which was great. Continental breakfast ok. Staff very helpful and friendly.

I WOULD LIKE TO SPEAK TO A CONSULTANT PLEASE. THE LIFT WAS NOT ABLE TO BE USED UNTIL THE CAFE WAS OPENED AT LUNCHTIME LEAVING ME AND OTHER DISABLED PEOPLE TO CLIMB 32 STAIRS. I AM PUTTING IN COMPLAINT TO MALTESE TOURISM BOARD. THEY WOULD NOT GIVE A REFUND AND I FEEL EXPEDIA SHOULD CROSS THEM OFF YOUR LIST THEY NEED A DRACULIS LIFT TO HELP GET BAGS AND PEOPLE TO RECEPTION

Across the road from the sea, that's about it
Apart from it's location it's difficult to find anything positive to say about this hotel. After walking up a steep stairs to get to the reception I then had to take a lift to my room which was round at the back, very dark with no view at all. The old knob style lock on the room door was so difficult to secure and even then wouldn't have given much protection. I therefore requested a safe key 12e plus 12e deposit. Remotes for the TV and aircon required another 10e deposit. Breakfast, such as it was, was over by 0915. There was none of the welcoming friendliness I found at nearby establishments. I suppose for the location and the price it was ok but I couldn't recommend it to anyone other than budget conscious fit young people who only need a place to sleep

Fantastic location and Cheap!
We love the location and you get what you pay for. Our room was on 5th floor looking out onto other backs of buildings. Small balcony no chairs not big enough to sit on. Room clean and tidy but......... very uncomfortable bed, thin springy mattress that dug into you. Bedding not wide enough to keep you both covered. The window in bathroom didn’t shut and we had water leaking in on floor. Balcony windows/doors didn’t fit and draughty and rain came under and all rattled loudly. Clean towels great, tea making kettle all good, plenty of storage space. Lift tiny and very slow. Staff all friendly enough. Breakfast ok, simple and plentiful mostly bread and cereal. Tea coffee ok. This hotel could be so much better if they fixed windows, got new mattresses and bigger bedding and refurbished the lift. They could easily charge more and it’s location would keep people coming. For the money they do well but I will choose more comfort next time.

The room was large but really old, needs updating the hotel. We had a back room with overall view of concrete. Breakfast was just some meat and bread and cereal, not much choice at all. There is no free wifi at this hotel , there is a charge for internet Towels and bedding clean and bathroom large but beds uncomfortable as the mattresses move and slip.

A budget hotel close to the shore
You should remember that this is a budget hotel and that in my opinion the value for money was good. On arrival, I found that the lift was broken. This was repaired the next day but it did mean I had to hump two bags up to the 5th floor (I'm 63), Followed later that day by six 2.5 litre bottles of water. The breakfast was continental without the pastries. Cereals, bread, cold cuts and toast were available each day. Fruit juice and tea or coffee from machines. I was specially pleased about the cleanliness of the room and shower/WC area. Fresh towel every day. The room was quiet at night, punctuated by the sound of distant chimes. The reception area is on the first floor, if a lift is needed to this floor then you will need to go into the restaurant below to use it. My main grumble would be the nature of the bedding. In my opinion, sleeping under the supplied "quilts" was like sleeping under a slab of cement, but each to his own! I was able to improvise with the spare blanket provided. There is no free wifi included in the price but cards can be bought to give a choice of 90 mins in a 24 hour period or 24 hours continual use. Final conclusion? A budget hotel at a reasonable price, with a good location in Sliema.

WiFi is not free, but I could use next door restaurant WiFi from lobby which was on level 2. No connection in my room since I stayed on the highest floor. 2000mins WiFi for 5 days cost €15. 1 day for 12€.

Hotel Roma was terrible place to stay. When we arrive with my partner, receptionist was very rude. After when we went to the room, I was nearly crying what we get. Room was very very dirty, everywhere was dust, looks like nobody clean at least a month. Bed blanked wasn't clean as well, kettle was dirty as well. I have plenty photo to prove.When I asked receptionist to change a room, she ask me what wrong, and she just told me we don't have any spare room, but that week hotel was nearly emty. If u don't wanna loose your good holiday mood, don't choose this hotel.

Clean, simple, family run hotel
If you are looking for a clean, simple hotel with good bus service and shops nearby, this is the perfect location. Breakfast was excellent given the low price, I paid for a single room. Fridge and kettle were an added bonus. Staff were friendly and helpful. If you expect a 3 star luxury hotel with air conditioning and large bathroom for an inexpensive price go stay elsewhere. (Pay twice the price!!)

Roma Hotel is in a convenient location at Sliema. Rooms have no air condition except a ceiling fan and a floor fan. Ceiling fan is not working. It's very hot when we are staying. Day time room temperature is higher than outside, very humid and hot (25 - 33 C). I learned to find out whether there is air condition before booking.

The woman at the reception was so rude. We even canceled our stay at the Hotel Roma because of her attitude. We went to see how the room is. It was clean ,but bathroom was small.it wasn't what I saw on Internet . This hotel can be good one.we don't know,because we haven't stayed . Maybe just that woman sucked.
