Skryje is a small, picturesque village located in the Křivoklátsko Protected Landscape Area. The main area is centred around the small village square, which features a few local pubs and guesthouses. The village is compact, making it easy to walk everywhere, with paths leading directly to the river and the surrounding forests.

Couples looking for a quiet, romantic escape will find Skryje ideal. The village offers a peaceful setting with immediate access to nature, great for long walks along the Berounka River or exploring the nearby Týřov Castle ruins.

The best time to go to Skryje is during the late spring (May to June) or early autumn (September to early October).

During these months, the weather is pleasantly mild and generally dry, making it ideal for exploring the natural beauty of the Křivoklátsko Protected Landscape Area, which Skryje is a part of. The countryside is lush with greenery in spring, and the autumn brings beautiful colours to the forests, superb for walks and outdoor activities. You'll also find that these periods avoid the peak summer crowds, offering a more tranquil experience.

Couples looking for a relaxing getaway will appreciate the serene atmosphere and the opportunity for scenic hikes along the Berounka River, perhaps visiting the Skryje Lakes or the Skryje Waterfall. It's an excellent time for enjoying nature without the extreme heat of mid-summer or the chill of winter.

For those interested in geology and palaeontology, these months are superb for visiting the Barrandian Geopark and exploring the Skryje-Týřovice Cambrian Basin, which is renowned for its fossil finds.
