"Hotel guests require a smart phone to gain access to the hotel and their room. This may not be everyone’s preference. The bed was accessible only from one side. This is not convenient for two sleepers. There is only one bedside light. It worked for a while and then went out. If one is over six feet tall the bed is too short. The shower is too low and not adjustable upwards. You are liable to bump your head on a number of fittings- the steel shelf brackets, the shelf above the basin, the light above the dining table, the mobile above the bed. There were no plugs for kitchen sink or the basin. On the plus side - there is a yoga mat, ample cutlery and crockery, all the kitchen appliances advertised, a welcome supply of coffee and tea. A tea pot and a French press."

"So a few very disappointing points: pillows were horrible, blackout curtains were too light and light came in from the bottom, no ice bucket or ice machine, no instant coffee in room just tea,no cleaning of my room until late in afternoon, if at all. Overpriced breakfast buffet and generally overpriced room. Staff was excellent and super polite."

"We booked our hotel for the evening before our arrival as we knew we would arrive early in the morning and need to rest and freshen up. We were not disappointed when we opened our door to a clean bright room - the pillows were great and the beds comfy. The room was lovely and had everything we needed and nothing we didn't. The staff were friendly and the lobby bar had a DJ each evening which created a great vibe. The hotel is also perfectly located to hit all the museums and attractions."

"We had a rather odd experience at this hotel when checking in. We were two couples on one booking. On checking in, one couple was informed that we had been upgraded to an executive room but without access to the executive lounge. The other couple did not get a room upgrade but did get an upgrade to use the executive lounge. This left us with one of our couples able to access these facilities but the other not, unless we paid an additional £100 for the three nights. We felt obliged to do this so that we could all use the same facilities but honestly felt it was a rather bizarre way for the hotel to behave and left with a slight suspicion that it was a way to induce people to pay extra for these facilities. Other than that a good experience with the only poor aspect being a rather erratic cleaning service. They didn't replenish our tea and coffee on the first morning and left dirty coffee cups in the room. The second day they replenished the tea and coffee but removed all the coffee cups and most oddly removed the two bottles of unopened complementary water. We were also shocked to discover that one of the bottles of wine in the mini bar was empty and had to dispute this with reception on checkout."

"We feel fully spoiled. Lovely hotel, spacious rooms, kettle in room, hairdryer all the things you can think to need. Buffet breakfast is amazing! I loved having ginger shot, coconut milk chia pudding, and Rhubarb juice- there’s hot eggs, sausage, bacon, sliced meats, cheezes, pastry, soo much. Fri Bike Shop arranged some E-bikes for us to rent one afternoon. Awesome! We went to 7 of Thomas Dambo’s Trolls- 5 were by car. The afternoon- having a sauna, steam room, gym and solarium. Great stay.!"
