Marvelous 2-bedroom condo with AC, hot and cold water, in Crabwood Creek!

10/10 Excellent
"This was our first time in Berbice, and the space and location were perfect for our stay. The place was clean, and the host was very friendly and responsive. We especially loved the rooftop area with the hammocks; the 360-degree view was beautiful. We also loved how close it was to Coriveton; we went down there often, enjoying the coffee shops, the restaurants, and the beautiful park for the kids. It was just a relaxing and really enjoyable stay. Waking up to the roosters and seeing the sunrise and sunset was spectacular. We even enjoyed the food from the snack bar that's right across from Mott's. The vibe was friendly and kind overall, and it made our stay pleasant. If we visit Berbice again, we will definitely reach out to stay here again."

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Skeldon?
The best area to stay in Skeldon is likely along the Corentyne Coast, particularly in areas offering access to the river and local amenities. As Skeldon itself is a smaller town, accommodations tend to be more spread out. The main activity is centred around its sugar estate and the ferry crossing to Suriname. You'll find most guesthouses and a few hotels near the town centre and along the main road that follows the Corentyne River. This area provides convenient access to local shops, eateries, and the ferry terminal. For business travellers, staying closer to the Skeldon Sugar Estate or the ferry terminal is most practical. These locations minimise travel time for meetings or border crossings and offer the most immediate access to any local services the town provides.Couples looking for a peaceful stay might consider guesthouses slightly outside the immediate town centre but still with good road access.
When is the best time to go to Skeldon?
The best time to go to Skeldon is during the dry season, which typically runs from February to April and again from August to October.During these months, you'll experience less rainfall and plenty of sunshine, making it ideal for exploring the area comfortably. The lower humidity also contributes to a more pleasant travel experience, especially if you plan to spend time outdoors. For those interested in local events and cultural experiences, planning your visit around Mashramani (February) or Diwali (October/November) could add an extra dimension to your trip, though these times might see a slight increase in visitor numbers. The drier weather ensures these celebrations can be enjoyed without interruption.
