Definitely would recommend staying here

The establishment was clean and the staff were very friendly. The room was plenty big enough with a private bathroom and shower and the bed was very comfortable. This guesthouse has that at home feeling which was nice

The owner is greedy. Requested to remove the shoes at the entrance, but asked ~$35 for breakfast and no free coffee during the day, only Nescafe with dry creamer. Room is small, not all rooms have bathroom in the room. :(

The place has nothing which can qualify as hotel . Location bad , infrastructure nil , cleanliness zero, no service is the only service. How such properties get listed in Hotels.com is a question. I felt like completely cheated by Hotels.com

Enjoyed our one night stay. Check-in and check-out was quick. There was a small, common fridge and microwave that we could use. The blankets were the right thickness for the summer as we found blankets at other hotels were too hot for us for the summer. There was a nice character lounge area that we enjoyed in the evening.

This guesthouse is a hidden gem. The room was fantastic and the beds were very comfortable. The hostess, Tracy, was an absolute champion. She will go out of her way to help and assist any concerns you have. She is also a wealth of info about Iceland and I really enjoyed talking to her. The guesthouse has amazing views of the coastal mountains and is very quiet and secluded. Highly recommended as a place to stay.

Expensive breakfast

Main complaint is expensive breakfast. 2500 ISK for just continental breakfast and no alternative to it. Otherwise pretty OK for a one night stay.

The views on both sides of the property are beautiful- the ocean on one side and a glacier on the other. The guesthouse is one story with only about 10 rooms with private baths. There is an optional breakfast in a breakfast room with those great views. The beds are comfortable. We were traveling with our adult son for a wedding and we were all comfortable. The owner is very nice and we loved their dog!

The guesthouse location was convenient for our time in the southern coast of Iceland. We spent 2 nights there and had the end room, so there was plenty of light coming into our small room. The shower fixture was not working well, so it was difficult to take a relaxing shower and the room walls were thin, but overall we enjoyed our time at the hotel. We did not buy the breakfast, but it appeared tasty. Parkimg was ample and free. We had to take off our shoes before entering the lobby and our rooms. We were provided comfy slippers or could walk about in our socks.

Amazing stay

Wow! I cannot say enough great things about this beautiful unique and special guesthouse. It was clean and comfy and felt like home. Our room (room 9) had the most incredible view of the horses behind the home just roaming around and the sunshine hit the windows so perfectly. It was just fantastic. What made our stay even more special was Tracey (the owner) she instantly became like family to me. She was so sweet and kind and loving caring! She shared with us stories and about life in Iceland. Honestly it felt like visiting a relative more than staying in a hotel. I just cannot tell you all how special this place is, you have to see for yourself. Highly recommend and will absolutely be back to visit!

Quiet country guesthouse on the way to Vik

Lovely remote guesthouse with great views. We stayed in room 12 with the winter white theme and loved it. Totally renovated. A few hooks in bathroom as well as a mirror in the room would be a good addition. Standard kettle with instant coffee and tea as well as fridge and hairdryer and bathrobes provided in Our room. Bed was comfy. Room was clean. Tracy, the owner was lovely and her dog Nero is the sweetest. We saw the northern lights here and it was out of this world. So many stars and the darkness was magical! They do have a restaurant but it is just for breakfast so need a car as it’s remote. Thank you Tracy for your help!!

You had to remove your shoes. Quite inconvenient. Having slippers available would be great. No place to hang things. Uncomfortable bed. HOT comforter. Way too thick. Not enough light. No tissues. Etc
