"A few things to know before you book: the property from the outside looked a little dated but the inside was well appointed and relatively well maintained. They provide a great breakfast but that is it. Everything else is a separate charge including parking (I actually got a ticket because I didn’t realize I needed to prepay my parking) and the pool/ water park. The pools were great, there are 2 bigger slides and one small one, an indoor pool, an indoor/outdoor pool, and two large kiddie pools....

"Hotel Kakola is wonderful and unique. Previous prison has been renovated with good taste and quality. The prison theme has been used in good manner in decoration. Room was like new and clean. Bed was excellent. Room was silent and even the A/C was very quiet but worked perfectly. The only thing which could be better is parking hall where the slots are rather narrow for modern cars."

"Nice location, close to everything. Parking is 25€. Single room was completely silent, big enough and had a minibar. Breakfast was good and fresh, Scandic standard. 100€ for a single fri-sat, is very cheap for the received standard."

"With probably the best location for a visit in Turku, right next to the market square, inside the Hansa bulding, Forenom Apartment hotels provides all the budget traveler needs. The room itself was imho perfect considering the price. Nothing was brooken or looked worn out, unlike the condition of another rivaling hotel chain with the same business strategy. The beds were nice enough, access to basic kitchen stuff, and private laundry machine in the bathroom. The bathroom was very good too....

"The hot water in the shower did not work properly. It took a long time to warm up, about 2+ minutes, and even then it never got hot. The shower was poorly designed because it wet the whole bathroom floor. Breakfast was good but had many tables that were not bussed, so I had to clear a table myself. Also, the food was not replenished accordingly. They run out of many things… even coffee and tea cups. Upon checking in the reception was not friendly. However upon checkout the reception was...

"This is a no staff property, where you have a code emailed to you to let you in. Room was nice. No breakfast. No air conidtioningn but they do have fans. Great location for castle or cruises."

"Charming old barn converted to a hotel. The surrounding fields and the nature trail were pretty. The room was clean and spacious, but smelled of the cleaning supplies which, I think, were odour-free and made the room smell like a hospital room. Breakfast was a bit disappointing, at least compared to the price of the room and the location far from any other options. "
