"Rooms were very clean. We arrived in Sitka early and they accommodated us with early check in. They also have a very convenient locked area to store your luggage if you do have any layovers during your trip. Staff always so polite. Was within walking distance of several restaurants, grocery store and the Totem National Park. Only negative is the drapes in the rooms could use upgraded. We were there in June when there is 19 hrs of daylight so dark out window treatments would have made our stay perfect."

"The Eagle Bay Inn is a great place to stay in Sitka! It is far enough from the harbor that you will not be surrounded by cruise ship visitors unless you want to be. It is a short walk to the National Historical Park and Totem Trail, and a nice path through the park takes you downtown. The Sitka bus that runs to the Bear Sanctuary picks up in the parking lot of the historical park, and the Raptor Rehabilitation Refuge is only 20 minutes away. The Inn provides a The Eagle Bay Inn is a great place to stay in Sitka! It is far enough from the harbor that you will not be surrounded by cruise ship visitors unless you want to be. It is a short walk to the National Historical Park and Totem Trail, continental breakfast that includes a variety of breads and fresh fruits, and there is a small convenience store down the street located next to a brew pub with good beer and a limited variety of food options, including a Mexican food truck. Our room was spotlessly clean, but the Eagle Bay employees are the true standouts. Kyle picked us up at the airport and went out of his way to take us to meet my husband’s sisters, who had arrived on a cruise ship that day. Laila was helpful and friendly, while Vicky, the owner and manager, behind her sweet grandmotherly demeanor, is an Alaskan woman of steel who makes that whole thing run like clockwork. Do not doubt the truth of what I say. Our only complaint was that the lobby TV was always on fake Fox News, which is never a good way to start a day."

"First trip to Sitka, and I'm so glad we stayed at Sitka Hotel! Staff was so helpful, and the room was clean. The tv or electric burners weren't working. There were only three outlets, so I recommend bringing a power strip. I loved how it was located in downtown, so walking to most things was very convenient. When we were tired, it was easy to rest and then head out again. I really liked staying at the Sitka Hotel and definitely would again."

"What a wonderful place to stay. The views were spectacular and the home was well equipped for all of our needs. The location is very central to all of the activities that we wanted to participate in. The have a bottle of wine on us was a nice touch and the snack bowl was super sweet."

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: First the good:A perfect location for walking throughout Sitka. Easy communication with host. Spacious efficiency. Not so good: long, steep staircase to access apartment. Lacking in attention and upkeep (e.g. bathroom drain plugged up, kitchen cabinet missing pull handle), saggy mattress. Minimal amenities. No Kleenex, no salt or pepper in kitchen. Door to apartment is tricky to keep closed. No blackout curtains."
