"This hotel is perched on a hillside with a fantastic view of the ocean and valley below and had a friendly and welcoming staff...the room was clean and spacious with a balcony and wonderful view along with the pool...it's close to great beaches, including Vai Beach, as well as great tavernas...we would definitely recommend it!"

"Charming hosts who wanted to please. Right opposite the sea but very remote from anything to do without a car, beware! It is a 15 minute walk to anything. Everything very adequate and there are plans to upgrade and update for next season. Sitia was an attractive town with a harbour and a huge choice of restaurants. Bus service wonderful."

"Very disappointing stay. This photos show a pleasant hotel with sea views. What we had was a view of the sea with a very ugly old half built building obscuring the view. The receptionist was surly, abrupt and generally unpleasant. No welcoming smile, I felt like we were a burden. The room was full of mosquitos. The bed was a bit like sleeping on a blanket covered rock and only 2 pillows. Breakfast the first morning... my husband is a diabetic and is not able to eat any of the cakes and...

"When we checked in, despite having booked three months before and paid we were asked to pay again. We were a party of two couples and one room did not have WiFi and nothing was or could be done about this.The lift was small and could take two people with bags only but the venue was spectacular and the parking and access excellent."

"Gorgeous location with lots of different places for people at the hotel to spread out and enjoy. Breakfast options were plentiful and a good quality. Rooms were kept clean and were very comfortable and spacious. Staff were always friendly and accommodating. The spa services were of very high quality. Towels and bedding were always promptly refreshed. We dined mostly for dinner at Le bouboulisse as we did not particularly enjoy the dinner food quality in bacchaus. Whilst the gym facilities were sufficient, the equipment could use modernising or being looked after as the treadmills are out of calibration. Also needed some wipes for the equipment after use. Overall, thoroughly enjoyed our stay! "
