"Maria hat uns unkompliziert in den Appartments empfangen, nachdem wir etwa 30 Minuten vor Ankunft angerufen hatten. Als wir sagten, dass wir in unserem Urlaub viel am Strand entspannen wollten, gab Maria uns sehr viele Tipps zu Stränden, die wirklich super schön waren! Sie konnte uns auch sehr viele, leckere Restaurants nennen. Rundum hat sie sich gut um uns gekümmert, Kaffee am Pool angeboten, einen Sonnenschirm geliehen... "Incredible property, amazing location. Rooms are very spacious, comfortable beds. Food at all outlets was really delicious - and the consistency of the buffet breakfast was impressive. Property is quite large, but you're never left waiting long to get a buggy to take you from one part of the resort to the other. Another massive plus for families is how well staff cater to your needs. Not only is the kids club an amazing resource, but even down to how staff across all restaurants are so good and friendly with children. The beach club is also super chic, food is great there too. The water at the beach is fresh, but so beautiful, amazing blues. I would recommend if you are staying in the eastern part of Crete - this is the place to be, it's a resort feel without being to commercial and touristy feeling - a great balance of luxury and reality, given the area it's located in (situated between the small village of Plaka and larger town of Elounda)"

"An absolutely stunning property with the most proactive, helpful and attentive staff I've ever seen at a resort. Other reviews already highlight how beautiful the resort is, so thought I'd leave specific info about accessibility, as it was a lot better than I anticipated from previous info online. My wife uses a wheelchair, although can manage short distances/a few steps. Although the resort is on a slope with multiple tiers, most of the grounds are feasible for a wheelchair; going from main reception to the bungalows, most communal grounds and the route towards the beach are all slopes. To get down to the beach and the beach bar itself, there are maybe 10 steps. Similarly, to get to the buffet restaurant, there are a few steps. If you're in a situation like us, where a wheelchair is generally needed but a few steps are manageable, don't let it put you off the resort. The staff were SO helpful and kind. They pre-emptively offered taking us on the golf cart, let us park our car next to the reception, always found ways to make trips easier and even, the night before we were set to leave, had the hotel repairman repair a loose screw on the wheelchair! I can't thank the staff enough for their support; they made us feel completely relaxed and as though we had to make no compromises even with accessibility needs. Thank you."

"We stayed at Flisvos Hotel as a convenient stop before an early ferry to another island. For a one- or two-night transit stay, it met our expectations. The owner was friendly, and the room was clean. The bed was comfortable, the A/C worked great, and the blackout curtains made for a good night's sleep. Amenities included a refrigerator, hot water kettle, free parking, safe, desk, nice TV, complimentary coffee the first morning, and a pleasant balcony. As frequent top-tier Expedia travelers, we often receive room upgrades. We were disappointed when the receptionist told us that because there were only two of us, we wouldn't be upgraded to a larger room, despite availability. Traveling with two large suitcases, two carry-ons, and two backpacks, the extra space would have been appreciated. The biggest drawback was the bathroom. The shower was very small, only partially enclosed, and had a handheld shower wand at waist height with no wall mount, leaving the floor very wet. Breakfast was an issue - no protein - no restocked. Guests arriving later missed out on eggs, cheese, and meats, and the fruit was past its best. The location is outstanding—just steps from the ferry port, beach, restaurants, cafés, markets, pharmacy, and shops. Everything is easily walkable, making the location a 10/10. Overall, this is a clean, comfortable hotel for short stays or ferry connections, but we'd choose another property for a longer vacation."

"We had a great experience at the Phaea Blue hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel is in virtually new condition. Food was excellent and the private beach, though pebbles (not sand) is very convenient. Wouldn't hesitate to return."

"Amazing stay and amenities. Very accessible to the beach, actually privately accessible with our own umbrellas and sun beds. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. The beaches were amazing. Also, if you want to see other attractions, get a rental. I had a great massage. I recommend booking it in advance because sometimes it can get a little full. The only thing negative was the breakfast not having eggs to order. That would’ve been nice"

"Stunning property and staff all amazing. Very hilly so need to be fit to get around or have a car. Suites lovely, breakfast plentiful and tasty. Beach club about 10 mins away in complimentary shuttle bus. It’s quite far from Elounda town so we drove in each night. Would be great if hotel had a shuttle bus to take you there. Everything was fabulous and definitely good value for money"
