Spoiled by roaches

The staff were friendly, and the facilities were reasonable... But the room had cockroaches!!! It was not noticeably unclean, but I encountered 3 different cockroaches, including one which crawled up my neck in the night - not a restful experience at all.

The hotel and room were clean, though very basic and quite small. It's suitable for solo travellers. Several restaurants are nearby, and the MRT station is about a 10-minute walk away. Reception staff were serious but efficient. Not recommended for families.

My mother was the person staying. She said it was a good quality hotel with great staff but it was a little hard to find and the bed was very hard and the only pillow she had was a very flat one.

Noisy!

NOISY. Aircon was extremely noisy and stopped me sleeping, plus room looked out on to main road - ask for room at the back if this will bother you too. Very conveniently located though.

Hotel 81 Changi is what it is: a budget hotel. Do not expect anything but a place to sleep. The rooms are small but adequate. No issues with the beds or the room service. The bathroom was a bit smelly, but I think that was because of a Crain on the floor. There is a bath and handheld shower. There was no shower curtain, and the main bathroom floor was a wet room floor. They expect "spillage" from the shower, thus the main drain. Good area and good local food all around, including a coffee stall. Good transport links. A bus stop right outside, and MRT is pretty close. I found it pleasant to stay there.
