"One of the best family and regional small hotel we have visited in 20 years in Crete. They really are very small hotel, familial style but they do their best to provide high level services: multiple pool, breakfast, sun towels. Amazing quality for price. Myrion Beach Resort & Spa - Adults Only

10/10 Excellent
"Really enjoyed my stay. The room was lovely and I made use of the indoor gym which was small but well kitted out. The breakfast selection was good including dairy free options. I also had buffet dinner in the main dining room which was good but as I donā€™t eat meat, I think it lacked options with veg or fish."

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Sineniana?
The best area to stay in Sineniana is the village centre, particularly around the main square.

This area is the heart of Sineniana, offering an authentic Cretan experience. It's compact and very walkable, with traditional tavernas, local shops, and the impressive Church of Agios Nikolaos all within a short stroll of the square. The village is located in the foothills of the Lefka Ori (White Mountains), providing stunning views.

Couples looking for a romantic escape will find the village centre ideal. It offers a relaxed pace, charming evening dining options, and the chance to enjoy local hospitality. The proximity to hiking trails in the surrounding mountains also makes it great for those who enjoy exploring nature together.

For travellers interested in local culture and a peaceful retreat, the village centre provides an excellent base. You'll be able to experience daily village life, sample traditional Cretan cuisine, and enjoy the tranquil surroundings.
When is the best time to go to Sineniana?
The best time to visit Sineniana is during the shoulder seasons of May, June, September, and October.

These months offer a delightful balance of pleasant weather and fewer crowds compared to the peak summer months. You'll find the temperatures warm enough for swimming and exploring, typically ranging from the mid-20s to low-30s Celsius, without the intense heat or the bustling atmosphere of July and August. The sea is also wonderfully warm for a dip during these periods.

For couples seeking a romantic getaway, the shoulder seasons provide a more intimate experience. You can enjoy quiet dinners at local tavernas, stroll hand-in-hand along less crowded beaches, and explore ancient sites at your leisure. The natural beauty of Sineniana, with its olive groves and coastal paths, is particularly stunning in the milder weather of spring and autumn.

Families travelling with younger children will also appreciate the shoulder seasons. The milder temperatures are more comfortable for little ones, and attractions are less crowded, making for a more relaxed and enjoyable holiday.
