I was quite disappointed with my experience. The room didn’t feel clean and didn’t meet the standards I expected from a higher-end hotel. The staff were less than friendly, with many being quite rude. The food was terrible; we ended up spending $160 at the restaurant, and the potatoes were inedible. The steak had no flavor, and even the Brussels sprouts were of lower quality than what you'd find at Walmart. We felt cheated and left the restaurant hungry. However, I must commend the two gentlemen who served our food—they were excellent and the main reason we chose not to voice our concerns.
On a positive note, Melanie, the barista, was fantastic and truly saved the hotel's reputation. Starbucks clearly knows how to deliver great customer service, and they could teach the hotel staff a thing or two. Overall, it was disheartened. My husband had a business trip, and we joined him, covering the cost of our own room. While I try to avoid regrets, I can’t help but wish we had chosen a different place to stay.
