Our stay was so calm and relaxing, being on the side of the hill looking over the lake and the back deck was awesome all lit up, the cottage was very clean and well stocked
We had the most relaxing weekend. The property is secluded and quiet and perfect to have some time away from all the chaos! The home was clean and very comfortable.
This is great property if you want nature. Still close to a town if needed and hikes. But it is tucked in the mtns pretty secluded, which we like. We would have loved to be able to get the water but it wasnt a bad drive to get to the water so didnt bug us too much. Thank you, it was a nice stay for our family!
Everything was good we thought we were going to be by the lake and have water access but we didnt. House was clean and was in a very quiet place we loved it there we were just sad that there was no water access like the listing and pictures showed.
The property is secluded and quiet. We could sit on the porch and watch the sunrise listening to the birds every morning. A very beautiful place, excellently remodeled and decorated. Very well described in listing. Close to hiking and water activities which is what we were here for. Absolutely loved the place.
The property was well appointed with everything we needed. We had a Chevy Traverse and navigated the drive fine. Stairs must be cautiously negotiated and this is explained in the description so it was not unexpected. The out door porch was where we spent most of our time and was lovely. The property is heavily wooded and we were pleasantly surprised not to be bothered by mosquitos. We would stay here again.
The road to this place seemed like you were driving into the wilderness. It was a little rough, but we were driving a Hyundai Elantra and we made it fine. The detailed directions given to us by Richard the manager were great, especially because during the last few miles we could not use gps. The cabin was a little quirky and rustic, but it was very cute and well equipt. The stairwell was steep, but after maneuvering it for a couple of days we made it up and down pretty easily. You are literally in the forest, so peaceful and quiet, really pretty nice! We immediately thought it was going to be buggy because of all of the trees, but it was not. We sat outside in the mornings with coffee and in the evenings. Plus it was very shaded so it seemed much cooler! You did hear animal and birds and we saw fireflies at night! You could not see anything from the deck but trees and there were other homes in the area, but we could not see anyone. We spent our time exploring the area and fishing, then coming back to grill dinner and just relax. It was very private and quiet, we really enjoyed our stay here!
After a late arrival and issue with the keyed entry, the host responded quickly and we were able to enjoy our time in the unit for the weekend. The property was located near the lake and isolated from others down a long gravel drive which was perfect for our needs.
Quiet cabin on a hill in the woods! Close to Cookeville so we could visit family and not have to stay in a busy area. We will stay in cabin again if available!
Loved the views since the leaves hadn't leafed out. Rustic and remote like I wanted.

Cozy, quiet, delightful
The cabin was clean, well furnished, well supplied, and so charming! The owner was quick to respond and helpful. The bed slept amazing and the downstairs was so comfortably furnished for the evenings. We also very much enjoyed the games provided! We loved how isolated it was and just sat outside listening to the birds chirping back and forth with each other. Would definitely stay here again.

Relaxing rustic get away
Excellent view since trees weren't leafed out.
Mouse droppings hadn't been fully cleaned up. Texted and found cleaners had been there that morning.
Boat launch farther than described by road.
Loved the remoteness.

It was ok…
We booked this stay to spend a week close to relatives in the area. We didn’t spend much time at the cabin during the day, but mainly because we just needed a place to crash each night. We found lots of mouse droppings in corners and at the top of the stairs. The stairs are much steeper than we expected…it’s honestly more of a ladder than stairs. I reached out to Evolve about the railing to the stairs being very unstable. I never got a response about it. They did reply to my question about how I couldn’t find the thermostat downstairs (it was because they changed the system).
The overall trip was wonderful and this cabin is truly in the woods on the side of a bluff in the trees. It's small but spacious. The driveway is a bit scary at first - steep and very narrow. The rocks are washing away at the entrance of the driveway but my QX80 make it up no problem.
The only thing we needed to bring was food and drinks. It was stocked with everything else you may need.
The only downfall was the abundance of cave crickets that seemed to like the lower level but they're harmless and bring good luck.
It was the perfect place to unplug and getaway.
Property was clean, well stocked and furnished. Good location for us to meet up with family at nearby Center Hill Lake for a couple of days. Some updates would help the overall experience -- for example, the railing going down the stairs is loose and the refrigerator doors are rusty (although the fridge worked just fine). Our biggest complaint would be the temperature control. We had a hard time keeping the main floor cool enough to be comfortable, even by cranking down the air. Kids had to sleep with fans blowing all night. Overall, however, it worked well for our purposes.
Unfortunately, this location was dirty and smelled like Mildew or mold horribly. We only stay 1 night and found others arrangements for the rest of our trip. We had to stay the 1 night and by morning we all felt ill and some of us started coughing.
I reached out to the managers of the property privately but I never heard back so I am leaving this review to hopefully prevent someone else an unexpected expense of finding new lodging.
turning on washing machine and dishwasher is not a good
idea. these are electrical/mechanical devicesthat use water.
it is not uncommon for these to fail and dump a lot of water
inside a home.
