Great place! Lots of space, very clean, nice views on top 2 levels. DO NOT attempt to take a boat trailer down to this house, leave it at the marina. There are zero turnarounds. Parking at the house for 3 vehicles, but all require tight T turns.
We chose Blackberry Hill because, with a strenuous hike, the lake was accessible! Now, you do have to turn and hike down levels once you reach the end of the steps, but there is a great rock ledge. We navigated down with kayaks, fishing poles and a paddle board, and a 5 and 2 year old!!! But once we got to the water, it was incredible! If you want to get to the water on Centerhill lake, I recommend Blackberry Hill!
This home was great for us. Three floors with plenty of room to spread out. Each floor had a sunroom and the one on the main floor became everyone’s favorite with a big comfy chair. The master bedroom was beautiful!! We will definitely stay here again.
Overall the experience was good. A couple of things to note are: access to the lake is a bit of a hike, grill doesn’t heat evenly, and the beds could be better. Communication was good with the host, and the stay was pleasant.
House is spacious. Kitchen is stocked well-enough. Wifi good. Lovely view.
We booked this for a last minute stay. Decent location and very close to Hurricane Marina. Lake is gorgeous! House is comfortable enough for the six of us. I would only recommend this house for anyone over age 12.
I will just add that is important to have a car equipped to handle dirt roads with hills. We had a hard time taking our minivan out. But overall the place was just beautiful and for sure I will return again.
Good location. Beautiful master bedroom was very comfortable. Only problem we had was there are spiders in the bathroom upstairs. Just needs some cleaning to get rid of webs. Let the maintenance k ow and they were very nice. They do need to purchase a new grill. Burners are burnt out. I would stay here again.
Nice property, beautiful views plenty of room. Only a couple of issues. One being a little difficult getting into the code lock. Another, the Blackberry Hill Drive narrow and steep.
Very roomy. Enough space to get away from the group if wanted. Road was a bit tricky in a car, minivan and suv were fine. Very close to marina. Must be part billy goat to get to lake at house...not an out of shape 48yr old woman haha! We all had a great weekend at the lake!

Overall a great experience. There are, of course, always a few glitches (parking for 2 cars only, only 1 trash can, neighbor's dog runs loose and gifts you with "presents" on the sidewalk every day), but I would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing weekend.

Home was in a private setting and large. Home was slightly dirty and dusty. Not sure when home had been cleaned. The master bath had a dirty rag on sink and hair in sink. An old light bulb was also sitting on sink. There were not enough towels for kitchen. No hand towels for master bathroom. By the time we left after 3 days, several lights were not working. Overall, we had a good time.
This house was okay to stay at for a weekend, but I don't think we'd stay for longer than that. We had 8 people staying, and there were plenty of beds and bathrooms for everyone. This is definitely not a house for anyone with mobility issues because it is a split-level with bedrooms up and down stairs. The living room had a nice TV, but there was limited seating. We brought chairs in from the sun porch and made it work. It is a home in the woods, so be aware of woodland creatures/insects when booking. While we stayed we saw a couple of mice, which isn't unusual for the time of year. We've grown up in the country all our lives, and we understand that sometimes things get in the house. However, make sure you check all of the drawers and cabinets in the kitchen because we saw mouse droppings in the drawers. We brought disposable plates and silverware so we wouldn't have to wash a ton of dishes, but we washed all of the pots and pans before we used them. We kept them in the dishwasher so no mice could get on them.

When we arrived the maintenance person was still painting in the downstairs. They had lost the cable connection which left us without TV for the entire time we were there Thursday evening thru Monday morning. the road down to the cabin was full of ruts (some are expected but this was almost to much for our 4 wheel drive expedition). I did not like the fact that you had to go thru bedrooms downstairs to get to the bathroom. It rained and we did not have a mat at the front door to wipe our feet on. On a good note it was decorated lovely and had a beautiful master bedroom/bathroom.

This was a family vacation to view the eclipse and the rental property suited our family. Wifi did not work for 3 days and we had an odor issue which was promptly addressed but will need more attention. I had been told that we could access the lake but this was not remotely possibly. I had told them we had a 3 & 7 year old and this location was not suitable for outdoor activities for them due to steep cliff. We had a large van and others should be advised of deep ruts and narrow parking for larger vehicles. Cars would be ok. We enjoyed our stay as we were close to a park where we could swim and the house was a great layout for us. We know what to ask when renting properties in the future. Staff were great. We just didn't know what to ask about all aspects. I would recommend this property to adults with older children.

The stay was very relaxing and quiet! Pretty secluded except for the neighbors but never saw them! Lots of space to enjoy throughout home! The jacuzzi tub in the master bathroom would not hold water the drain stopper wasn’t working properly. And there was some water damage on ceilings and staring to mold. Kitchen was well stocked with cookware, plates, glasses, and utensils! T also has a newly built huge deck out back to sit out on and view the lake!! I would definitely go back and would recommend this for a great stay!!

With family scattered all over it is hard to celebrate the holidays. This year we decided to gather at Lake Center Hill and celebrate Thanksgiving in June. My family and aunt stayed at the property and the rest converged to spend a day celebrating family with a feast. The house was perfect, we had plenty of room to host Thanksgiving for 13 and spend the day together. The views were amazing and there was plenty of private sitting areas scattered If you needed a little peace. The deck was beautiful, though a few in the group couldn’t manage all the stairs. We couldn’t have asked for a more comfortable home away from home.

The refrigerator was dirty inside. The furniture in living room was very dirty. You could hear an animal inside the walls at night when trying to sleep. The sound woke us up at 5:00am each morning. The last night a mouse was running around the living room and kitchen - perhaps the mice were what we heard in the walls. There was also an ant problem in the kitchen. Overall not a great experience.
