  • Enjoy a beautiful, newly constructed cabin right on the edge of Yellowstone park. Nestled next to Soda Butte Creek, seeing a moose wander through the yard is a frequent sight. Enjoy taking in the breathtaking views of Republic and Amphitheater Mountains from the wrap around porch. There are plenty of places to sleep with a queen in the master bedroom, a queen in the sleeping loft, and queen pullout in the living room. For larger groups you can also book our sister cabin which shares a yard.

The price may seem a bit high for some but the location and comfort of this cabin made our first trip to Yellowstone all the more wonderful. The cabin’s proximity to the Lamar Valley was unexpectedly perfect! Each morning and evening we would drive through this gorgeous valley to and from the cabin. The wildlife we saw was so great that our trip back and forth became our favorite part of the day. The cabin was warm, clean and easy to find. Jason answered all of my questions and was an excellent host. The cabin is roomy and had most things we needed and the star-gazing is unmatched! This is worth a stay and I highly recommend. If I ever return to Yellowstone the Pilot Peak Cabin will be my first choice!

Silver Gate is right next to Cooke City both of which are small towns but Cooke city has more restaurants. I would stay here again as Silver Gate is right on the national park, a couple of minutes to the gate and you really felt like you were in the middle of nature, which of course you are, sitting around the fire pit at night. We had a fox visit us while we were having a drink around the fire pit. Lamar Valley is right there next to Silver Gate and it has best animal sightings. We seen, Bison, Wolves, Elk, Coyote, deer and lots of raptors. We will be back one day and I will stay here again.

We stayed for a week. It was a great location to access Yellowstone and red Lodge. Property was very clean and the host was great!!Abundant wildlife right on the property moose deer fox. We will be staying there again.

Wow, even better in person and the pics were great. Close to northeast entrance, restaurants close by but preferred cooke city restaurants. If the sky is clear the stars are incredible. It is in bear country so don’t stray far from porch after dark. The beds and shower were great. WiFi worked well and only way to get a signal for miles. If time the Beartooth highway is worth the time.
