  • Just remodeled private 3-BR cottage with log cabin siding, pine interior, hardwood floors, modern kitchen with stainless appliances, natural wood island countertop, large deck with outdoor dining set. Incredible views of mountains and Lake George nearby, 5 minute walk to trailhead for Adirondack mountain hiking. Includes charcoal grill, large sectional sofa, washer/dryer. No direct lake access is included, but we're 2 miles from YMCA Silver Bay resort with beaches, gym, boat rentals, and full facilities. We're next-door to historic Grace Chapel which offers concerts and services in Summer months. Nearby Snug Harbor South offers boat rentals and docks. 30 minutes to Lake George Village and Outlet shopping. Public swimming beaches are available at Hague (6 mi) and Bolton Landing (10 mi).

Great little Cottage

We really enjoyed our stay . The property was clean, modern, great WiFi etc.We had everything we needed, except a wisk for pancakes which a fork easily replaced. The neighborhood is quiet and good for short walks, 1 loop about 1.2 miles. We enjoyed a little hiking which was very close. Overall a nice place to spend a few days. Likely even better in the spring, summer, and fall.

Lovely getaway

We had the nicest stay at Gordon's rental. It was clean and nicely furnished. You could see the lake from the cabin and you could take a short walk to a small beach. Gordon was responsive to an inquiry we had while staying there, promptly addressing it. Overall, our family of 4 had a wonderful mini getaway. We will be back!

Great cottage with all the necessities

We enjoyed our little getaway at this cozy cottage by Lake George. It was well-appointed with new appliances and plenty of towels and toiletries to last for the duration of our stay. It’s in a remote area about 20 min from downtown Lake George. The owners were gracious with extending our check out time a few hours due to a snowstorm.

Wonderful stay at Silver Bay

We enjoyed our stay at this lovely home at Silver Bay. The house is comfortable and well-stocked. While not directly on the water we were able to take advantage of nearby public beaches in Hague and Ticonderoga. As Y members we took advantage of free day passes at the Silver Bay YMCA(2 miles away)and were able to sail, kayak, Swim, take yoga classes and enjoy the views. We also got in a hike. The neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful. Gordon was very responsive- excellent directions and answered all of our questions. Would definitely stay again!

Cozy home

The home is very clean and comfortable. The neighborhood is very nice and quite. Everyone in the area were so friendly where ever I went. It was very easy to communicate with the owner. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need. The beds are comfortable.we were very pleased with this rental, 5 stars definitely! There is a general store close by that has a small selection of groceries. The store also makes breakfast sandwiches and very good subs. I did my grocery shopping at Price Chopper, which is about 20 miles away.

Great stay on the whole

The cabin is fully refurbished with modern appliances making for a very comfortable stay for me and my family. The YMCA resort is very close by providing a host of activities for the teenagers in the family, but can become pricey if you used it every day. I think its a bit misleading to label it a Lakeside cottage as you see just a sliver of the lake through the trees of the property over the road and there is no direct access to the lake from the cottage. As our stay was in the summer we wanted to be able to swim in the lake but had to drive a few miles to a public beach - which was still closed the last week in June. A longer drive to Roger's Rock State Park provided the best swimming for a $10 fee. If you just want a relaxing stay in a quiet lakeside neighborhood and don't have teenagers to keep occupied, it's a great place to relax with a wide deck under the trees.
