Als wir ankamen bekamen wir gleich ein Upgrade. Es war ein sehr schönes, grosses Zimmer mit einem Panoramafenster. Das Zimmer verfügte sogar über eine Küche und ein grosses Bad. Wir fühlten uns sehr wohl. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Ich kann das Hotel wärmstens empfehlen.

Angenehmer Aufenthalt mit Abstrichen

Das Positive vorab: sehr freundliches Personal, gute Lage, gute Infrastruktur (v.a. auch für Biker) insgesamt ein positiver Eindruck. Getrübt wird dieser durch den "Komfort" unseres Zimmers (Doppel mit 2 Einzelbetten, ohne Balkon). Uns erwartete ein Schrankbett mit unbefriedigender Matratzenqualität, Badewanne mit Duschvorhang und Infrastruktur/Armaturen aus den 70er Jahren. Hier müsste dringend nachgebessert d.h. renoviert werden. Sonst stimmt nämlich das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis nicht. Auch nicht im (teuren !) Oberengadin, ein Schnäppchenpreis war das durch uns genutzte Angebot nämlich nicht. Das Chesa Surlej verfügt mit Sicherheit über schöne und konfortable Zimmer, bei einer 3Sterne Unterkunft sollte es aber keine Ausreisser nach unten geben.

enjoyed our stay in the 1 bedroom. The hotel staff were all very nice and helpful right from the start. I broke my wrist skiing and they were helpful and brought ice and extra pillows as I needed them throughout the week. The cheese fondue was wonderful. The location was great! 5 minute walk out the back door to the poma lift that brings you to the cable car and up the mountain. Easy access to St. Moritz by bus and can ski over too. I bought the multiple day ski ticket and arranged rental for multiple days. Was able to get a full refund of the rental ski package due to my injury and was able to refund all of my unused ski days too. I would recommend this property and will plan to stay again if I am in the area.

Nice clean place, convenient location

I was the only person in the hotel (November off season) but the staff were very nice and made sure I have everything I needed. There is a ski lift just up the street and both St Moritz and Sils Maria are a 5 minute drive.

The hotel and staff were absolutely fantastic. The rooms were very spacious. Food from the restaurant was wonderful. I have a picky eater and nothing was too much trouble for my daughter. We will definitely stay here again.

Sehr freundlicher Empfang, gute Beratung, schönes, geschmackvolles und grosses Zimmer (1Zimmer-Appartement) - leider war kein Frühstück möglich, da Zwischensaison - aber toll, dass das Hotel geöffnet hatte!

great hotel close to lifts

We ski'd for 2 days of our stay and ice skated for one. Very close to bus transport; right next to a ski lift so its ski-in/ski-out for the Corvatch side of the ski area. Skiing is excellent even though they hadn't had recent snowfall; they groom most runs so there was plenty of hard pack around. Lots of skiiers in hotel.
