Villa Rêverie - Boutique Hotel

"A true joy and a wonderful find! Lovely boutique hotel along the lake, a 7-8 minute walk along the water from Bellano station. Staff was great, Jessica was perfect in checking us in with a glass of prosecco and great and thorough advice on the local area. Inclusive breakfast was perfect each morning (eggs to order, buffet with fruit, cheese, marvelous pastries, yogurt, etc.) with excellent service from the same gentleman each morning. We had the last room available on the main floor, so would guess higher level rooms would be even nicer. A 12 minute walk to the Bellano ferry terminal or 5 minute train to Varenna gives immediate access to the lake ferries to Bellagio, etc. We stayed at the end of season and the town was quiet and relaxed, just what we needed after Venice and Milan. We did not know where to stay in the area and Reverie could not have been a better lucky find --- !"

The grounds are stunning, the views of Lake Como are breathtaking, and the location is excellent for exploring Bellagio. What really stood out was the level of service. The staff was consistently warm, accommodating, and professional. Whether assisting with excursions, arranging transportation, or answering questions, they made everything feel effortless. One of our favorite experiences was having breakfast delivered to our room. There is something special about enjoying a morning coffee, delicious pastries, and a wonderful breakfast while overlooking the gorgeous waters of Lake Como. It was such a peaceful way to start our mornings. We stayed here while celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary, and the property provided the perfect setting for such a meaningful occasion. The combination of beautiful surroundings, excellent service, and attention to detail made our stay truly memorable. **We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Lake Como.**"

"My initial lower review was based on initial impression of the room and room only. The staff could not have been any better or more attentive. Some of the absolute best customer service I’ve ever experienced. Especially from Alice, Isabella, and Leonardo. I responded to email from Expedia about first impressions. The management staff at Casa du Lac reached out to me for feedback. I met with Guest Experience Manager Alice to explain. She was extremely receptive to my issues with the room and completely understanding. Everything in the room worked perfectly A/C, water temp, etc. The main issues were the proximity to reception area and elevator making it somewhat noisy at times, and the small size of the room with lack of storage and bathroom setup. Essentially I advised her that for the price and the online photos of the hotel our expectations were much higher and the room came up short. She had already investigated changing our room but there was no availability. She completely understood and forwarded my feedback to the General Manager. In response they offered some complimentary beverage and dining options. Their response was extremely generous and genuine. I sensed that they wanted us to thoroughly enjoy our stay as much as possible. We sincerely appreciate all that they did. If I were to rate the staff , it would be the highest possible. They are all top notch. Everyone was absolutely fantastic. I am giving my stay a rating of “Good” as a whole based on the room."
